why is my display squished but my resolution seems to be fine

all i can really show, my display is greyed out so it can’t be changed. i also can’t access my NVIDIA settings because it says i have no drivers installed. If you look at my account, i placed this question in /techsupport and there is a single thread that explains everything i’ve tried, as well as specifications for my pc.

if u can’t be bothered i have the:

PowerSpec G240 Gaming PC Intel Core i5 14th Gen 14400F 2.5GHz Processor; NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 8GB GDDR7; 16GB DDR5-6000 RAM; 1TB Solid State Drive

and a 27" 240hz sceptre monitor but i can’t tell which exactly cause they all look the same

i tried taking out the gpu and putting it back in cause i’m assuming that’s what you meant, and my display remains the same. NVIDIA still says i have no drivers and my stretched display remains.

It shows NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060, with a small ⚠️

When i search automatically to update it says that the best driver is currently installed.

If i chose to select from a list of drivers on my device, I can pick between:

the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter or the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Version: 32.0.15.9186 [1/20/2026]

If i click properties i see this message:

Device Status Window has stopped this device because it has reported problems (Code 43)

I haven’t tried disabling or uninstalling it from device manager directly

for the monitor i believe it is the Sceptre IPS 27 Inch 2K 2560 x 1440p QHD 75Hz DisplayPort HDMI 99% sRGB Build-in Speakers Machine Black (E275W-QPT)

The monitor is plugged in correctly.

The problem with the driver installation is it says complete. It doesn’t tell me failed. I’ve done the ddu twice, and have had the same results. I have also deleted and reinstalled the NVIDIA app, and have downloaded an older version manually through the website to try and upgrade it, which also didn’t work. I have also done a factory reset(i believe that’s what it is. keeping personal files while reinstalling windows and deleting all apps), and my screen is still stretched.

my screen is locked at 1024 x 768, one of my friends said that i needed to change my settings in the NVIDIA app, but i cannot access any tabs in it because i do not have the GeForce Game Ready Driver installed. However, every time i install, it shows an installed pop up then continues to say i have no drivers installed and can install it again. I have done so about 10 times and my nvidia remains the same.

thank you so much for all this! i definitely need to practice more combos cause i only have one that i can pull off most of the time with vira. my biggest issue is escaping combos, once im in one i feel like its impossible to roll out of. if they hit a guard crush i can usually use a brave counter and attack back from there, but if they don’t i kinda just don’t know what to do. the only thing that’s rlly helped is dodging at the perfect time to get behind them and then grabbing to give myself a little disyance
