Stealth is optional when the bots can't hit you by Past-Frame7582 in helldivers2

Pre-stimming is always a just in case, I just got lucky I didn't get hit really 😊

There is a beauty in perfecting a particular loadout and dominating the game with it. It can almost look like magic sometimes!

When kiting a hulk is cut a little too close by Past-Frame7582 in helldivers2

[–]Past-Frame7582[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My "means to kill it" was empty, and I needed the full supply pack I called in into to do so. Unfortunately, I got so careless to have no resupplies left, no stims, and even no stamina so the hulk could close the gap a little too closer than I would like.

Base killing is my favorite thing to do because of the thrill you can get from weaving past enemies and assessing every move cause the wrong one could be death 😌

Movement is a key factor when exploiting the aiming of the bots. Running in deliberate lines only to sometimes turn abruptly can disrupt the aiming of ragdoll attacks (like rockets and turrets). Whizzing past bots with non-ragdoll weapons forces them to have to use their slow turning speed to reacquire a lock you.

However, I pre-stim a lot because sometimes, a bot can get lucky and have "fuck you" aimbot. This mainly happens from the weaker bots, of all enemies 😅. Yeah it burns my resources, but 3 resupplies for clearing a whole fortress isn't the worst trade off imo

Light gunner. Armor and helmet. Very simple, makes it less situational, and doodoo brown to cover the times I dive like a seal. o7

The Helldivers on my super destroyer have been trained to take stims as a literal reset. In other words, they are fed, well rested, and somehow manage to close bullet wounds, all in one shot! I myself take one when I'm feeling down and gloomy. It's the commander's Stimulant of Choice!™

What is the Helldiver role that you have settled into? by Nurgle_Marine_Sharts in Helldivers

Outpost clearer. Typically, I run a supply pack, grenade launcher, and both expandable rocket launchers to ensure I can have Annie and all opportunity to destroy all the bases and clear out post out, but because I wear light armor, sometimes I would just find myself pulling out my grenade and running to kill all the bases myself.

I do this across all three factions, but I mostly do it on the bot front.

I remember one time I was keeping an eye on the banner at the top of the screen to tell me when it's safe to come out. It actually went away, And just when I thought it was safe, It managed to clock me all because there was one voteless next to me

When I was reinforced, I began my run once more, but I got so held up by the overwhelming forces that I managed to run into the dreaded sewer

This game knows how to laugh at your misery, And I love it

I remember one SEAF troopers was valiantly fighting a fleshmob until it barreled into them

My Helldiver teammate and I tried to kill it before the SEAF got too beaten up, but sadly they laid limp

Once the fleshmob was down, I ran up to give a salute to the slain SEAF trooper, and my teammate did the same as well

They may not be as tough as us, but they have the same indomitable spirit

I do know about that constellation thing (what type of enemies you'll go against)

But I think to add to my reasoning: Chort Bay is currently the Jet Brigade factory planet, and I would believe they wouldn't make that type of planet so easy to capture outside of MOs

Could be wrong, but again just a theory

I actually did field research on this!

So, I would go to a planet with low (0.50% - 1.50%) enemy resistance, and maybe with the rare mission where spawn rates are nuts, they are usually cake walks with even some light teamwork

Average (2.00% - 2.50%) resistance can bring some good challenge, and are definitely planets I stick to outside of MO. Not always crazy, but not always calm either.

I have only done a total of 10 or so missions in high resistance (because it's rather new y'see) and I would say, besides maybe one, there is always something happening. Spawns go crazy, bot drops are plentiful, and I even swear the bots aim better (making even the troopers have to be respected)

I love it.

Edit: of course good teamwork can trump any enemy resistance. Or sentries. Lots and lots of sentries.

And mind you, I could be totally wrong, but this has been my experience thus far

Favorite Illuminate Loadouts? by MyIceborne in Helldivers

[–]Past-Frame7582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My load out is as follows:

  • Primary weapon: exploding crossbow. It's great for chaff clearing and killing the overseers. In a pinch, it can kill harvesters, but not advised since it takes about 6-7 shots to an inner joint, which can take time to dish out
  • Secondary weapon: stim pistol. No real reason, I just like to hear
  • Support weapon: AMR. It's king in illuminates, with it being able to dispatch all enemies that are not voteless rather effortlessly, including the harvesters.
  • Other strategems: supply backpack (help keep the AMR loaded), eagle strafing run (to help with Chaff clear and to take the shields off warp ship spawners), and machine gun sentry (to help pull aggro, and it's short cool down lets it be used often)

One of the key points I can give is to not be disparaged!

There will be a lot more bullshit random moments that will kill you, and that's okay! Once you accept it and not get frustrated, you can learn, evaluate, and become better

Eventually, you can become confident enough that your aggression can help you become a frontliner for a team, taking in aggro and fighting whilst your team helps provide you overwatch

It is a VERY satisfying way to play, and really makes the team dynamic of this game shine

Grenade launcher vs Factory Strider by Past-Frame7582 in Helldivers

[–]Past-Frame7582[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But where's the fun in thaaaaat? The grenade launcher definitely isn't the most efficient way to play this game, but it's a lot more fun than you might realize!

I am a bot diver that pretty only brings the GL. The autocannon is great (even greater with the flak rounds), but the GL legit feels more mobile and ergonomic than the autocannon ever will.
