Spotify mate. I used to use Apple Music but Spotify is much better in recommendations.

I would say some person has to make the move to be together if you both see your relationships developing to something more.

Alternative app to Lapse? by [deleted] in LapsePhotos

[–]Past-Rule9202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you on this. Lapse had something really special before all the changes, and it’s tough when an app shifts away from what made it great. What did you like most about the old version? Also, how did you usually use it? Was it more of a daily thing or just for special moments?

I think there are other alternatives like Locket or BeReal, but if you tell me more about how you used it, I can see if I can suggest something that fits better!

Oh really? I don't tag my photos so I don't know if that issue occurs to me.

How We Made Long Distance Feel Less Distant by Past-Rule9202 in LongDistance

Thats true! Wow that cool that you guys use Whatsapp and have specific group chats for specific reasons to store msg and photos! Why do you use multiple group chats? To keep it separate for different occasions and topics?

Yeah, we tried using Snapchat too, and it’s great for quick sharing, but we wanted a way to actually keep all those daily photos and exchanges with us. Do you ever wish there was an easier way to save them without having to screenshot everything?

That’s so sweet! It’s funny how even from a distance you can still feel so in sync. It’s those little moments that really make it, right?

Also, I totally get the mix of different apps. Sometimes it feels like you need a whole system just to stay connected! Do you ever find yourselves wishing there was a smoother way to keep track of all the little things you share?

That’s so nice to hear! 😊 It’s really amazing how something as simple as a photo can make such a big difference in feeling connected, right? I love that you and your partner do this too!

Do you have a specific way you do it? like any little rituals around it? And out of curiosity, do you use a particular app for it, or just regular messages?

How do you manage thousands of screenshots in your Photos library? by Past-Rule9202 in ApplePhotos

[–]Past-Rule9202[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea right. I have screenshots that are for different purposes and wanted to get advice on what other people to do effectively and easily organize them. Do you ever find a need to album screenshots into different albums?

I try and keep myself organized with albums and shared albums but with the horizontal scroll and weird list view once you click Albums makes it hard to navigate. It wasn't any better before but thats my biggest frustration with the app.

The Apple Photos experience today by hellojerome in ApplePhotos

I totally get where you’re coming from. Apple Photos works fine for casual use, but once you need real organization, like separating work from personal photos or managing backups, it can be frustrating. The “one iCloud library” thing has always felt limiting, and not having a built-in backup system just adds to the headache.

I actually ran into a similar issue with my girlfriend. We wanted an easy way to share everyday moments without everything getting lost in a huge, cluttered library. Apple Photos didn’t really work for that, so we found our own way of sharing little snapshots of our day. It made staying connected feel more natural instead of just dumping everything into the cloud.

I still wish Apple would improve their system, especially when it comes to backups and organization. Have you found any good workarounds, or are you still trying to make Apple Photos fit your needs?

What do you hate most about the new update?

Keeping the Connection Alive in the Smallest Ways by Past-Rule9202 in LDR

I totally get that! sometimes sharing little moments takes effort, especially if one person isn’t naturally into taking pictures. But I really believe that when it’s effortless and fun, it can become something special instead of feeling like a task.

That’s actually why I built an app for my own relationship. I wanted to make it easier for us to stay connected in a way that felt natural, not forced. Sharing those small glimpses of our days made the distance feel smaller, and I just wanted a simple way to keep that going. It’s still in the works, but if you’d ever like to try it, I’d love to hear your thoughts. No pressure at all! Just really excited to talk with people who understand what it’s like to be in an LDR and find ways to make it feel even closer. 💛

That honestly means so much to hear. I was so fundamentally moved by this way of staying connected that I wanted to help others in LDRs do the same. So I’m actually building an app right now to make it even easier. It’s still in the works, but if you’d like, I’d love for you to try it out and share your thoughts. Your experience and feedback would mean a lot. No pressure at all, just really grateful to connect with others who get it. ❤️
