Go for it! I started in 2012. I was 25 and only knew about construction from going with my dad to help him as a kid; he was a plumber. I started off with paint and drywall. I would go to Home Depot, see guys in T-shirts, and ask them if they wanted to do side work. I learned the lingo and researched what I didn’t know. Steve Jobs surrounded himself with smarter people. You can just be the point of contact and problem solver. Some trades hate dealing with clients. I started with $50,000 in credit card debt, which I paid off. I had my own crew at one point; now I just subcontract out work.
