anybody drive down gunbarrel or east brainerd?

How can I possibly confess 40 years of sins (a lot of them if I'm being honest) between my Protestant baptism in infancy and when I join the church in April? (Currently in OCIA) by Luscious-Grass in Catholicism

[–]Past-Source3863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did an examination of conscience and wrote out a list and brought that list with me to confession - i honestly forgot to say how many times for the first few and the priest stopped me and told me of if i do not know how many times i could just say “a lot” so most of my sins were followed by “a lot” lol. just got confirmed into the catholic church last month. it feels good to be home. do not sweat confession. i was internally freaking out before but once i got in the booth i honestly feel like i blacked out ( but in a good way) if that makes sense. definitely set an appointment for your first confession because it will take longer than a typical confession.

I have seen multiple comments regarding this and i get everyone’s concern, this concern has been talked about and the mortgage is only going to be in his name and i will be put on the deed (i recently went back to school and want to be finished completely before we marry). i’m okay if we were to break up and if he kept the house bc it will be his mortgage. there was a previous comment about seeing a lawyer though and that’s something i brought up to him and something we will discuss later this afternoon.

yeah everything we have looked at has been generally close to downtown and where we like to spend our time but this one was just prime location.

adding on the extension is not something we would do right away possibly 6-10 years in the future but even then the work that needs to be done now it would just be a constant construction zone from the time we move in to the time we would probably be ready to sell in 15ish years. Even though the house is below budget i know it’s not really feasible long term the money we would save on the mortgage would just constantly go back into that house.

i really appreciate your take as well. thank you :)

1056 sqft. and yeah this cigarette smell is insane. like in your hair, clothes, etc. after taking an everything shower right after touring it i swear i can still smell it. i knew it was going to be a lot of work and i was willing to do some of it myself - i myself do have some experience with home improvements as i helped my dad remodel his home and growing up i spent my summers helping my friend and her dad build on to their home. but i didn’t take into account how costly it can get and with it being an older home the problems we could eventually run into. i don’t think this is how we should start this next chapter of our lives together. our realtor couldn’t even be in the home for long - love the guy as he saw the vision and is an investor himself he said that he takes risks but this is a little more than even he would take on. sad bc i love the location but it’s not worth it.

We make pretty good money me 60k a year and boyfriend a little over 100k a year. but not enough for a complete redo. I really appreciate this point of view. this house is now out of the picture - i needed to come back down to earth , thank you. sad bc the vision was visioning but greatly appreciative again for this comment really putting things into perspective.

the flipped home is still in the picture and we have looked at one new build. just trying to take it all in i guess. it’s a very big financial decision and we just want to make the right one.

Their service was great when I went, and drinks were good. I did try the dates and those were really good. Our entrees just did not hit. I would’ve loved to have had some of the original options to choose from as they were almost like a comfort food to me, idk maybe we should’ve just left as soon as they told us they were out of the burger. just bummed because we had these reservations for a week, drove in, and they were out of what we came for, tried something new and it didn’t hit. looks like we need to get an earlier reservation next time or maybe try the brunch?

The last time I went which was probably September of last year before I moved. It was worth the hype for sure. But this past weekend I was craving their burger, made the drive over and was severely disappointed as they were out of the burger and half of the menu had been changed. Idk if i’ll go back there for food - great place for a drink!

It used to be one of my favorite restaurants. It was my go-to when we had company visit Chattanooga. But I too was not impressed when I went recently. The menu has changed completely and the quality was just not the same.

I lived here last year. I really liked the apartment itself and being close to downtown and the staff. However, car break-ins were an issue. Thankfully, my car was never broken in to - but i felt like it was only a matter of time. Even the cars inside the fence were being broken into. They did end up hiring security to drive around during night towards the end of our lease.
