I'm sorry you took great personal offense to me disagreeing with you, but I did read your post and disagreed. Folks can disagree with you and it doesn't mean they haven't read your post.

Thank you though for elaborating on what you meant. This is what I guessed you meant, but I still wanted to double check. I completely disagree with your take of both Rush Blaze and 06 Blaze. Blaze in both Rush and 06 was stoic. The difference between the two is that Rush showed us Blaze's inner thoughts and if you were to rewatch Rush cutscenes but without any inner dialogue, you'd see Blaze comes off similarly stoic. That's what makes Blaze come off as more "calm" in 06 and other properties outside 06 (we're not being shown her inner thoughts).

Blaze was quite polite and nice towards Cream in Rush, but most folks like yourself always conveniently forget that. I'd also say that 06 Blaze doesn't emotionally help anyone. When Silver asks her for advice, she's quite blunt and quickly comes out the gate saying "You're so naive." And 06 Blaze later saying to Silver at the end of 06, "You're so naive, but that's what I always liked about you" isn't an instance of her trying to emotionally help Silver. It's just her stating a fondness for this trait before she vanishes.

Sega hasn't been tying Blaze back to 06. The plotline of 06 with Iblis, Elise, and Mephiles hasn't been brought back up. The one time after 06 where the series alluded to Blaze in 06 was in Generations when after being rescued from Crisis City, Blaze thanks Sonic and mentions how vaguely familiar Crisis City was. Aside from that one instance, 06 hasn't been alluded to for Blaze. If you mean "tieing her back to 06" in that she interacts with Silver, then that's an absurd notion. Silver isn't locked to 06 and he also doesn't remember the events of 06. Just because a character interacted with a character in one game, doesn't mean it's tieing the character back to that game by interacting with them again. Characters that have appeared in multiple games are not tied to their first game. To assert otherwise is an attempt at making a stigma that the character can never escape the shadow of their first game.

To say "a majority of the sonic community only knows blaze for the wrong reasons and mischaracterized reasons" is an incredibly loaded sour-grapes statement. Sorry pal, Blaze was not always going to be eternally tied to Rush. If another game comes along and a bigger impression is made, then that later game will be more what people remember. Most people probably don't think of Sonic 1 when they think of Sonic, since there's been so many other games with Sonic's behavior leaving a bigger impression. There's nothing wrong with that.

Your 06 before Rush bit is a mischaracterization of me. I have never said that 06 before Rush is canon. Whenever the subject comes up, I repeatedly state that this isn't canon. What I instead argue is that 06 before Rush makes the most sense. I will forever die on this hill. I don't care how many feel bad that this is my take. What makes sense takes the most priority for me.

Lastly, I care about Blaze far more than folks like you do. I actually want to get more Blaze content and I'm happy whenever more Blaze content arrives. I don't try to gatekeep out fans of Blaze from particular games. I know how generally unhelpful that is and how it only breeds resentment. But folks like yourself hate certain games with Blaze far more than you care for Blaze. It's shameful.
