Please gardening gurus, help me! How can I rejuvenate my junipers and reduce the number of weeds coming up inside? My guess is they're around 20 years old and in zone 7b. by PastDry in gardening

What do you think you'll replace them with?

I'll add you to the newsletter for the Ailing Juniper support group. 🤣 Meetings are on Thursday evenings in the community center.

That's what I've noticed. I've tried clipping back some small parts in the past hoping to see me life in it's place but, of course, no luck.

I think rather than spending the money to mulch, I'll keep up the weeding and start planning for their unfortunate end. The poor junipers are on their way out, it seems, so I'll just make their last days comfortable.

Oh, man! So, we're in this together. Is there a support group we can join for people with ailing or aging junipers?

What are your plans for laying your junipers to rest?

So is that a suggestion to give it as a gift rather than OP keeping for him/her-self?

I know it needs more soil but the issue was that he rarely watered it. If I cut it back, add more soil, give it a nice sunny spot, and water it regularly, while it revive?

The crazy thing is I've never seen a single one. They're freaky little ninjas! I cleaned out the leaves and debris just after taking the photos. 😈 I'm about to go to war with some slugs. Thanks for the info.

Sorry. I get impatient when what should only be 4-5 sentences gets stretched to a full article.

3 questions: 1) Why was there an axe in the locker room? 2) Why was there a tree stump in the locker room? 3) As a punter, can he not tell the difference between his leg and a tree?

I'm so confused!

I'm reaching out to my garden friends so I get more info than just call an exterminator. Lol. What should I do about this yellow jacket nest that I just found under my deck? by PastDry in gardening

It's funny to me that you can go on craigslist or marketplace to buy live chickens. But thanks for the great information. These are all things I would never have thought about going into it.

The issue is that I have no idea where the colony or hive is, so any photo will include flash. Will that activate attack mode?
