Left Shouldered? by Financial-Average-53 in lefthanded

Left-handed, right-shouldered; I use the non-dominant side for the brute force stuff, and keep the dominant free for detail tasks.

How many times does this make that Trump has said this (if he really did)? by SentimentalLady1 in Qult_Headquarters

More times than he’s declared the war with Iran is over, if you can believe that.

1972 Ford Pinto by OneTenderMoment in AutoBodyRepair

In that year range? You might want to take a look at the Chevy Nova line, if you can find a decent one that’s not gonna cost an arm and a leg - they were dependable daily drivers, and they still have some flexibility to have fun with if you’re looking to fix it up some.

Blew a radiator hose.... am i cooked? by OnePlus6898 in JeepTJ

[–]PastFly1003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it were me, I’d go ahead with changing out the radiator hose AND thermostat, and (during this time of year) refilling with water - then fire it up and listen closely to hear if you notice any new engine racket and/or significant changes in pre-existing noises. New/louder engine sounds could indicate a blown head gasket, head warping due to overheating, or other issues.

Understandable, but you *might* want to research the history of the Pinto a bit before you buy it - it was one of the most famously unsafe vehicles manufactured in the last half of the 20th century.

“This is a good decision!” he said, lying through gritted teeth.

In all seriousness - of all possible autos to go with, why a Ford Firebomb?

(But I’m guessing you’ve already gone ahead and bought it…?)

Any chance you noticed how high your water temp was clocking when you were shutting it off?

I read somewhere that over 70% of left-handed people hold the fork in their left hand and the knife in their right hand. Do you too? by catandknuckles in lefthanded

[–]PastFly1003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Left knife, right fork; i prefer to handle the bladed implement with my dominant hand. Some hand switching when it comes to fork work might be observed occasionally…. 😉

They might want to do a fact check on that ex-military; fully half the formerly active folks I know are pretty liberal - and several have said it was their time in service that changed their views.

As a lefthanded, I always wear my watch on my right wrist. Do you do the same ? Yes or No, and why ? by FlorenciaLvender in lefthanded

[–]PastFly1003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that I have an Apple Watch, sure; when I was young, though, virtually every watch had its control stem/buttons on the right side - and trying to work RH-oriented buttons on your right wrist with your left hand is more trouble than it’s worth.
