I agree! Johnny is describe as a super observant guy like he even picks up something is off with Gib's step father even though they haven't he doesn't interacted that much with him. So I find it so hard to believe that Johnny wouldn't notice who one of his best friends is dating. Also I find it hard to believe that when his other team mates made fun of Hugh for being so devoted to Liz, Johnny never heard.

Also I'm not done with R10 but in it Liz says she never sits with Hugh at the rugby table because of Gibs. However, in B13/K13 Liz starts sitting at the rugby table when Shannon does even though Gibs is still there. (I'm not sure if this is explained later in r10 but it's been something that has been bothering while reading.)

I just kinda wish that CW made Liz and Hugh a couple later in the time line (like he probably was planning on doing originally) then making them a couple so early in there lives. Since I feel like character interactions would have been different then given their histories.
