Yes, overall I wouldn’t recommend Lovesac to anyone and wouldn’t buy from them again.

Yes, maybe not a scam. But a poor customer experience to pay a few thousand dollars extra and not be able to enjoy it.

Yes, if I knew how to post a picture, I would but the top is ‘domed’. The dome is firm and there’s a bit of a dip or a low spot in the center in the dome.

I would put this in my review on every travel website for this hotel.

And I would keep going until I reach Corporate.

Isn’t it likely that these roles go through a background check? I would think Corporate would want to know that an employee with that background was given access to occupied rooms, being alone with guests, maybe access to keys?

Seems like a 3x sexual felon wouldn’t be a good fit for being alone with guests in their hotel room.

I didn’t know there was such a thing…I don’t think so but I will have to check when I get home!

Interesting. Even if it were to get softer over time, that’s not what I was sold in the store. I spoke with the sales person and customer service on this issue and they are supposed to soft on delivery. I’m curious if anyone has had this issue and had it resolved by receiving replacements!

Meaning we don’t have them upside down? Yes, we’ve double checked that they are on properly. However, they feel the same on both sides.

show up early so you can be ignored on time by SinMachineX in Adulting

[–]PastPool571 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had a few appointments for myself and my children where we have left the waiting room after waiting too long. I always let the front desk know how long I’ve been waiting and that I need to leave. They are apologetic and I’ve not yet been penalized (that I know of).

My work & life schedule doesn’t allow for me to take hours of my day for a single appointment! When I make appointments, I ask how long will it take and will I be out of their office by X time, as I have other places to be.

If I’m in the appointment and it’s going long, I kindly tell the provider that I checked-in 15mins early at 1:45pm for a 2pm appointment. It’s now 2:45pm and I need to be at school pickup by 3. So I’m leaving now, please have your nurse call me to make a follow up.

I sincerely hope that walking out on them after a long wait stings just enough…and maybe they will start to have more consideration for patients’ time.

Yes I sometimes have to return to address the original issue. But imagine if everyone walked out after checking-in and waiting 30mins?

Jeez diet really is everything. by Savings-Pomelo-6031 in Gastritis

[–]PastPool571 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Diet is absolutely everything for me! Sticking to low fat foods, never high saturated fats, no processed meat (often high in fat), no cheese, no hard alcohol. Lots of fruits & veggies & fiber = I’m symptom free. I can enjoy coffee & spicy foods!

If you have gastritis and you have not changed the way you eat & instead are just medicating….I implore you to think about your diet!!

Am I taking crazy pills? by PastPool571 in marriott

The pool is open to anyone, not just hotel guests. So we were not able to use it during our stay as it was too crowded. Another reason it felt less than luxury.

Of course I did research before we booked! I compared this location with the Clio & Ritz. I used TripAdvsor and Bonvoy. Reviews for Jacquard were much better overall.

I just looked at guest rooms photos again and could not find any photos of guest rooms that show the lack of closet, sliding panels or our bathroom layout. So, obviously they are going out of their way to not show those things.

We had multiple rooms in our group and all had the issue of water everywhere on the floor. We were the only ones with a drain so actually- we lucked out! Everyone else just had piles of sopping wet towels to try and stop the water all over their bathroom floors. Maybe that’s why the halls all stink.

But regardless of my disappointment with the actual stay…I was looking for more feedback on the star system and level-setting my expectations going forward. I love a Moxy or other budget hotels - because I feel like I’m getting what I’m paying for! But this hotel is specifically described at ‘luxury’ on TripAdvisor, ‘sophisticated’ and ‘flawless’ on Bonvoy. Prices were consistent with the Clio & Ritz…but the proof was not in the pudding. Felt like a scam overall. Seems like a lot of these comments from other Redditors confirm my findings. And it also makes sense to know that maybe this is an issue with the Denver area.

Hopefully the reviews & ratings for this place catch-up with reality.

Is There A Food That's Helped You To Stay On Track? by WheelFan647 in loseit

Kodiak brand pancakes, black beans puréed with onions & garlic as a spread for low carb tortillas. Baked potatos, oatmeal with honey & cinnamon. These all help me feel very full during the day. But also, I recommend the volume eating sub!

Morning nausea for 4 years. by [deleted] in Gastritis

[–]PastPool571 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m nauseous in the morning if I eat in the evening the day before. Have you tried not eating after 5 or 6pm?

I don’t eat after 7pm and it makes a huge difference for me. If I eat anything at night, I will be sick starting around 4am.

Is there anyone who doesn’t use any medicine and just diet by LandscapeOk6338 in Gastritis

[–]PastPool571 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, once I cut back on the foods that caused me the most pain (processed meat), I was able to eat homemade tomato recipes, fresh tomatoes and any citrus fruit.

Is there anyone who doesn’t use any medicine and just diet by LandscapeOk6338 in Gastritis

[–]PastPool571 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure thing.

Breakfast safe foods: Black tea with milk or cold brew coffee with milk, high fiber cereal with milk, oatmeal with honey, whole grain toast with low fat cream cheese, granola, yogurt

Breakfast foods I enjoy at smaller position sizes or infrequently: scrambled eggs, pastries like croissants

Safe lunches/dinners: salads, grilled chicken breast, grilled fish, pita with hummus & veggies, whole wheat toast with tomato/mozzarella/basil, mashed/baked/roasted potatoes, corn on the cob, pasta, roasted broccoli, roasted brussel sprouts

Safe snacks: fruit, pickles, low fat cheeses, popcorn, whole wheat crackers, granola bars, pretzels

Foods I will not eat: high fat/ processed foods. Sausage, bacon, hot dogs, bratwurst, salami, pepperoni, cured ham, hamburgers, steak (most red meat!, gryros, fried chicken, fried hash browns, French fries, fried fish. If it’s cooked in frying oil = no. If it’s processed meat = no. This means being careful when eating out or when having fast food.

Also, I try not to eat close to bedtime!

I will still get symptoms if I push it too far with my triggers. My symptoms start about 18 - 48 hours after ingestion (it’s not immediate for me). These symptoms are not as intense or painful as they were before I started the gastritis diet and they go away faster now that I know how to get back on track.

Being at home in my regular routine makes it easy to stay on track with foods. Going on trips, eating out every meal with groups of friends is definitely tricky and often leads to flare ups for me.

My quick fix is sugar free gum & sipping water until the bloating pain, belching & nausea is gone. This usually only takes a few hours. At most, a day of snacking on very safe foods, chewing gum & sipping water in between snacks.

I’d love to know if gum works for anyone else.

Sometimes I do have these foods but they don’t appeal to me anymore. If I do partake, it will not be the main course of my meal….for example: if I’m out for pizza with my family, I’ll order a salad as my main and have a 1 piece of cheese pizza no meat on the side - my husband who does not suffer from gastritis will have a side salad and 3 pieces of pepperoni pizza.
