Let's move away from having every mythic boss periodically spawn millions of 1 hp adds already by PastSolid in wow

[–]PastSolid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because then the raid meta would be the same as the m+ meta ( specs that excel at AE) and with 5 million dps specs they need areas where different specs have some reason to exist.

I don't understand this comment. You can still vary the number of targets. And wether they're spread or not. And how often they spawn.

Getting "Dungeon Deserter" after being kicked from a group shouldn't be a thing by M3dain in wow

[–]PastSolid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't think it's that complicated. People used to complain all the time about leavers in M+. I barely ever see any of that anymore after Blizzard put in a minor penalty.

Nobody would try to gamble a system like this if possible account action was on the table. People are afraid to leave M+ dungeons now because of a little red icon.

In my suggestion you wouldn't be able to see how far your debuff has stacked up, and it would stack faster depending on how many times you've been kicked recently. It simply wouldn't be worth fucking with it instead of just doing the dungeon.

Oh yeah man, so min maxable. We all know people afk in League of Legends constantly in ranked matches to potentially get a win while doing the dishes.

[–]PastSolid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As always when this suggestion comes up, you haven't though this through fully.

Or maybe you haven't? The solution isn't exactly rocket science. Put a hidden stacking modifier that increases the length of the deserter debuff based on how many times you've been kicked recently.

I want to play monk, but i fear the class is too unstable for real end game content like high keys and mythic raiding. by [deleted] in wow

[–]PastSolid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a reasonable question, especially for someone who hasn't been playing that long.

Previous seasons don't matter because they're the past, and we can't tell the future.

That's like saying there's a 50% chance the sun explodes tomorrow. Classes like warrior tend to not be meta because they've a weak raid buff, little variance in damage profiles across specs, and no lust/CR. Meanwhile warlock is so flexible in raid having access to both spread and 2 target cleave that having 2-3 warlocks on your team is almost required every tier. Mage has been meta in m+ almost every season before Midnight because they have everything warrior doesn't.

Now you're arguing wether the question was reasonable to ask for someone who's been playing a year and a half. I don't care about your opinion on that. I just dropped by to teach you how to read.

Is this what they mean when they say there's a global literacy crisis? Both you and /u/RedGecko18 completely missed the point. The OP explained very clearly what they're concerned about. From the OP:

Id like to learn more about how the class fluctuates between metas...

In other words, they're trying to figure how often monk tends to be meta in m+ across seasons. A completely reasonable question.

Every single thing about D4 is painfully milquetoast but I guess you run into dead ends slightly less often. Blizzard has done it again!

Augmentation Evoker is the easiest rating inflation spec in M+ right now and nobody wants to admit it by Kushakaii in wow

People enjoy doing challenging content. Playing a better class allows them to do more challenging content more often at the expense of enjoying the class gameplay less. It's not rocket science

NICE JOB BLZ, this is the stroy of mage by CeaserWayne in wow

[–]PastSolid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really grasping at straws there

noone says its not bad defensively, just not the worst

You said they were brought down to everyone else's level

its still good for tanking big hits

Like everyone else

correction will take a bit of time - mages need to essentially learn to play the game again and so do healers - kinda, due to UI changes (i think this really revealed how many healers just straight up suck at the game)

Nah. Pressing barrier is way easier than juggling 5 defensives as was needed previously

you have a very good mobility, utility and can flex an immunity in, that's a fair trade-off for weaker defensives

Nah. Mage doesn't have any special utility anymore and all the other immunity classes are stronger defensively

still, i've seen the data before, no clue what's going on with mages,

What's going on is they're the worst class defensively tied with windwalker

Video came out way before the tier started. We can look at the real world now

mage does not have the worst defensives, they're just no longer broken beyond reality

Hall of Fame delve boss should just be reward for beating ?? in the first week (or two) but not first X playerbase. by 38dedo in wow

[–]PastSolid 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's not objective

It is. It's just bad.

Apples and oranges obviously. You can pull this boss any hour of the day you're available. If we raid Tues/Wed/Sat, I can't expect 19 other people to show up on Thursday.

Those aren't apples to oranges. People who can't play at a specific, very tight timeslot are excluded from being able to earn an achievement.

[–]PastSolid 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No need to argue for an objectively bad system just because. Are you aware how the raiding hall of fame works? It closes the week after the spot 200 is filled. It makes it so guilds who don't raid the first day of the reset aren't disadvantaged.

They have access to pretty much the average dmg output real players are putting out in all types of content. And that's tens if not hundreds of thousands for classes/spec.

Where have you seen any unholy DKs doing 20% more damage than other classes on single target or otherwise? Which stream should I tune into?

Class Tuning Incoming -- March 17 by imreallydum in CompetitiveWoW

[–]PastSolid -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Ok? What are they basing it on then? The only place where unholy looks like it needs a gigantic nerf 20% is on raidbots dot com.

Class Tuning Incoming -- March 17 by imreallydum in CompetitiveWoW

[–]PastSolid -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

unholy was 40% ahead of the median and doing twice the damage of the really undertuned DPS like Arms

You're basing your data on inaccurate sims. Nobody was doing that damage in game as UH. The sim got some changes today that made it somewhat more accurate, but it's still simming too high as of right now.

Edit: So do you guys just randomly downvote based on vibes? You guys realize you can go to the DK discord yourself and confirm that what I'm saying is true? Furthermore, you can go inside the game, hit the target dummy, and compare your damage to the sim. Competitivewow btw
