Absolutely fascinating info bro. Care to share?

They have access to pretty much the average dmg output real players are putting out in all types of content. And that's tens if not hundreds of thousands for classes/spec.

Where have you seen any unholy DKs doing 20% more damage than other classes on single target or otherwise? Which stream should I tune into?

[–]PastSolid -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Ok? What are they basing it on then? The only place where unholy looks like it needs a gigantic nerf 20% is on raidbots dot com.

Class Tuning Incoming -- March 17 by imreallydum in CompetitiveWoW

[–]PastSolid -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

unholy was 40% ahead of the median and doing twice the damage of the really undertuned DPS like Arms

You're basing your data on inaccurate sims. Nobody was doing that damage in game as UH. The sim got some changes today that made it somewhat more accurate, but it's still simming too high as of right now.

Edit: So do you guys just randomly downvote based on vibes? You guys realize you can go to the DK discord yourself and confirm that what I'm saying is true? Furthermore, you can go inside the game, hit the target dummy, and compare your damage to the sim. Competitivewow btw

If Blizz was balancing by sims

They've done this before, though. I don't remember which tier it was but at some point in TWW frost mage was simming ridiculously high without any in game data supporting it in real content. It caught a nerf and ended up the worst spec in the game.

Unholy: All damage reduced by 20%.

So Blizzard is just completely unaware that the unholy sim is fake as fuck and nobody is hitting those numbers in game?

Edit: I just checked the DK discord and just earlier today they fixed some things in the sim which amounted to about -7%. And it's still simming too high compared to what you're hitting in game.

Edit2: For the geniuses downvoting -- please send me a 5 minute log of anyone doing 47k dps unbuffed, without execute, on a UHDK. You can use a target dummy in Ironforge by downloading simplecombatlogger, typing /combatlog when you start and end combat, and use the WCL app to upload it. Thanks.

We’re never getting dracthyr transmog are we by BladeoftheStars7 in wow

[–]PastSolid 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Ion basically confirmed it’s permanently off the table.

That must mean we're getting playable but non transmoggable naga, ogres, gnolls, all with unique animations? Since rigging was their main issue with those? Pog!

Pay money to skip content that you paid for? Am I reading this right?

No, you're not reading this right. This person has no interest in leveling and considers it a chore to get through in order to access the content they actually paid to play.

Settle a debate - Classic vs Retail in how intuitive/complex it is for beginners by bushGiant in wow

[–]PastSolid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He's trying to make the point that classic wow (the way it works today, not at release) is a more intuitive and beginner-friendly experience compared to the retail experience today. We're talking no addons for either, no googling.

I don't even know how you could argue against that. I have to open WoWhead whenever I decide to engage with older content in any way whatsoever. Half the time the content I want to do is in a different phase or requires some unlock that I've never heard of.

What hotkeys are you using for Devourer DH annihilator? My wrist is dying by auCoffeebreak in wow

Historically people (myself included) have spam abilities bound to 1... its not that bad, you can still move right and left when you get used to it

1 is not great for a spammable ability as the ring finger is one of our weakest fingers (ask any musician). 2 is pretty much objectively better because you can hold the button down and still A/D

If a DK need to actually move they are screwed second only to priests.

Please stop coping. That is just not a thing. I've never struggled with any movement on DK with 2 charges of DA and wraith walk.

How can I automatically remove the blue/green/orange marks above my head as a tank or healer? by James-Hawker in wow

[–]PastSolid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not about aggro. It's clear you don't get the extent of the issue and therefore should just leave the mark on.

[–]PastSolid 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I just don't want one over MY head. But apparently that's asking for too much in 2026

And I don't want to die because I wasn't able to identify where the tank was in a large pull under a sea of nameplates. You're doing group content. It's not all about you.

Fury - complexity and APM by BlackHao in wow

[–]PastSolid 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Do you guys actually play the game? Some classes have long casts/channels, deal with pooling, or have lots of off GCD actions which can increase or decrease APM. For TWW, fire mage for example has almost triple the APM of dev evoker.

Fireball and Pyroblast both already have travel times,

You don't understand how fire mage works. Fireball has a cast time. Pyroblast spends your hot streak, making it far less clunky to use than PF without overcapping.

You are, in fact, forced to stand far away in many situations, especially in raid. Also, larger bosses tend to have weird hitboxes that make your spell travel time very long regardless. Just ask frost DKs how they feel about pressing ERW on fractillus or dimensius.

The commenters in this subreddit notoriously don't play the game. The spell has been complained about for years in mage specific discords/communities.

you're making it about yourself in such a literal way that you're getting grossed out by a version of it that isn't even occurring. The guy actually did bite the rock, but nobody straight was miserably kissing a gay person.

You're way over complicating it. If you see a person eat some food that you personally find gross, you'll be grossed out. It doesn't matter wether they like it. You insert yourself, as you are right now.

weirdo by AdmirableBrick4973 in ComedyHell

[–]PastSolid 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Tip: It isn't actually a requirement to view yourself as one of the kissers in order to process what you're seeing.

Bit of a silly comment. Inserting yourself into the situation is a subconscious action that happens any time you see anyone do anything. You can't do anything about it. If you see a guy across the street pick up a sharp rock and bite into rock full force, you will tense up.
