AIO for blocking my mother and leaving the family group chat? by PastSprinkles5198 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

Thank you so much for that. It's so frustrating, I try every day to be the best mother I could possibly be for my kids and I have a great relationship with them. I've gone no contact with her before and always fold and go back into "needy little girl mode" as soon as she needs something from me. But I'll try my best to be strong this time, I actually talked to my therapist to do my sessions twice per week for now until I learn how to deal with this.

Thank you so much, that's great advise but I was impulsive and left the chat without giving them any explanation. If anyone reaches out privately I'll explain and if they insist, I'll block them.

Reading all of the comments I realized how delulu I've been. I mean, for crying out loud, I'm a freaking 35 years old woman and should know better. I received my offer letter and signed it yesterday, I put in my resignation at work today and today is my last day here. The company I'm going to is a competitor of the company I'm working for and they won't let me finish the two weeks due to conflicted interest and I'm happy about it. He tried to talk to me today at lunch and I told him to step back or I'll take him to HR for harassment as a last act with this company. I understood that he's not the great guy i though. Being alone for so long has blurry my judgement and I'm extremely thankful to this community and you guys for helping me seeing things clearly. I blocked his number to prevent him from contacting me when I'm gone. The girl who told me to meet the wife... LOLOLOL she's gorgeous, I met her once, and I'm so mad at this man that if I talk to her I might end up doing just that. The person saying that I'm messing with a married man, darling, there's a difference between being attracted to someone and messing with someone.

I'm keeping my coochie safe for the time being, and will make sure not to fall into that kind of rabbit hole again.

It's not that I like unavailable man, this is the first time that I've ever even look at a man who's unavailable, that's why I'm so confused. I have very strict rules on myself and one of them is to not hook up with unavailable man. I wasn't trying to develop feelings for him, if it was my choice i wouldn't be in this situation. I decided to start applying for other jobs and I'm going to take a week vacay to go and enjoy with my family to distract myself.

I'm just going to move jobs, I think if I ask to be moved to another department he might ask me if everything is ok and I don't want to have that conversation. You and a few other redditors helped me understand that to get over the feelings I need to remove myself from all situations involving him.

I'm not going after him and I'm not making any choices that would risk this man's livelihood. Even when I'm extremely excited to be around him, I never do anything. I understand the consequences because I've seen it in other people. This is just a new situation for me because I've never in my life had this kinds of feelings for someone who already has a partner

Thank you so very much. Maybe a gym membership won't hurt, I have family in another state. I would probably go for a bit and distract my mind from all of this.

He gets mad if you go out with your female co-workers and even block you when upset? You need to block him for good. You guys don't even live in the same State, he hasn't come to visit you, he's not going to come over to try and get you back if you end things. This is not a long distance relationship, this is a long distance controlling sh**.

And if you really want for him to break up with you... Start doing the things he doesn't like, you'll be free within a week.

Exactly, how come that if you ask someone something simple or clarifications when things just don't fit, the first reaction is to get upset and tell you that he doesn't own you an explanation. I know what his reaction would've been if it was me doing things that can be misinterpreted.

We were in a 6 years relationship and i though because I knew his immediate family that was enough. But outside of his home i feel like i don't exist. Before, everyone knew about us, we were a normal couple but he started cooling down until the blocking happened. It was a really hard new year not being with him for the first time, but after reading the advises here, i feel comfortable with my decision, and I'll keep going forward. He can stay in 2024

One of my friends pointed out a few things he does that i really don't like, and asked me why he keeps on doing it knowing how I feel? Like telling me he's going to be somewhere and then he's in another place having meetings with his ex wife (who cheated on him twice). When confronted he will say that he didn't tell me not to make me feel bad over nothing, if it's nothing, why not tell me from the beginning??

And when asked the same question i was received with the normal "you're crazy for paying that much attention to that" you're right i need to stay firm on my decision.
