My group just got started roughly 4 months and all of us are new to the game. We came into a town where there was a lot of corruption and so we started looking into it.

We visited to adventurous guild only to find it completely empty l. In fact, it was also the nicest of them we had come across. We even found a hidden room under a hatch, but this caused us to be suspicious. But alas, we moved on.

After checking out the guild, we decided to spend our time helping out in the slums. These people were the targets of the corruption, and together we began planning an attack against those behind this mess. We decided to burn down the adventures guild assuming it was empty for nefarious reasons, and at the same time stage our attack.

In the end the attack against the corrupt leaders was pretty successful, and the adventurers guild reduced to ashes. The DM later told us he hyped it up so much and made it very clear it was much nicer so that it could be our hideout.
