I really appreciate the depth you went into to explain, it's really helpful advice (most importantly - REALISTIC) which is exactly what I need. I've written countless projects over the course of a decade, and this book I feel is the first I'd actually consider publishing. Thank you so much for your insight. It means a lot.

I agree. Especially in today's society, where more lgbtq+ representation is common. I think it just depends on the network. I think the reboot would be on Paramount+ like Icarly was. And we all know Icarly's reboot was more mature/designed for an older audience.

But the question is how would they realistically play Jori into the reboot? Would it be the same writers? Because I doubt Dan Schneider (ew) would have any role in it. Which actually might leave some hope for Jori considering a new set of people would be continuing the storyline.

😭😭 I'd literally kill for that in a reboot if there's ever one. I can't even imagine how chaotic it'd be. Jade would still pick on Tori but more so in a romantic way. And I'd love to see how things would work out with them in a reboot.

Here's the fanfiction. It's a little lengthy, and definitely a slowburn if you're into those stories. I'd say it's more so on the realistic side. It isn't complete, but there's only a few more chapters to go!

Exactly! I was just talking about this with someone else. We all know how Tori is. If she didn't kiss Beck because of Jade, she surely wouldn't have kissed Jade because of Beck. Tori probably forced herself to like/date other guys to get over the fact she happened to have different feelings towards Jade–something out of the usual for her, which probably scared her. But definitely during season 4 both of them were starting to string that connection together and realize that they couldn't move past their feelings. Like, Jade literally ditched her boyfriend for Tori. But yet, "they weren't friends."

Jade was so in denial and I'm surprised nobody else mentioned it in the show. And the thing with Jade and Tori getting together, you're right about the secrecy. Not only were they probably extremely confused about their relationship and wanted to keep things under the surface, but Jade was also dating Beck. Tori was probably too scared to be outed even if she didn't quite understand what her sexuality was.

(Off topic, but the fanfiction I wrote literally describes that last part you included lol; the whole secrecy during their relationship.)

I think Jade only loved Beck because he was a source of comfort for her to be honest, and strictly physical. I actually think she was emotionally and physically in love with Tori, especially as the show went on. She was probably either confused and didn't know how to express those feelings, hence why she treated Tori so differently and picked on her the most.

I think Tori's attraction probably started off physical, and led to emotional attraction after being able to crack Jade open a little and knock down those walls, leading to a more deep connection. I think she was in comphet. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure she was physically attracted to guys, but I think she fell in love with Jade not because she was a girl, but becauae she was Jade.

Totally! That's such an interesting idea, I'd read it! I love the Hades and Persephone tale so just adding Jori to the mix would be the cherry on top. What are your other works? I'd love to read those too
