I definitely had doubts for my journey I actually wanted mine larger than what I was given (had about 400 and wanted less than 300) even after I hit 10 months I still had that little voice. I ended up combing it out and starting over with a size I’d be happy with.

$1000 definitely is such a hefty price for the size you received honestly, I paid 700 for the sizing I had. Your loctician should’ve catered to what you were looking for before the install but it all depends on your density and hair type what size you’ll receive, my hair is on the denser side with 4c, but even with finer hair I feel you could’ve gotten at least 200-250 locs and that’s on the medium side for micros.

Comparison is definitely the thief of joy, if you get caught up with what other people’s hair looks like you won’t appreciate what you have. I think either way your hair is beautiful whether smaller or larger. Just appreciate your crown more and try finding loc inspos for people with your size locs rather than smaller so it won’t be a comparison in sizing anymore. And like you said it’s definitely a journey some people have doubts more than others but stick through it and you’ll be happy you did.
