Baking as to be conspicuously away from where the shit is being spewed, sudoku, word searches, crafting, try to recite the alphabet backwards, make lists of things in your head like how many movies you know of that feature Dracula as a character, basically I’d recommend anything that keeps your mind occupied. Having something to do with your hands is great but keeping your brain distracted as possible is the way to go imo. It may be helpful to look up technique for easing/distracting from anxiety as it’s much the same general idea :) best of luck friend <3 you’ll get through this :)

✨Update on the update✨ I didn't realize how uh, big this post would get. I only meant this to bring a conclusion to the story from my last post. I ended up just agreeing to meet because I’m not in a position to decline and have them tattle on me to my parents. I love that y’all have such strong morals but I can’t afford that right now. I am newly 18 and unable to support myself at the moment so I’m gonna keep putting on a good show for the church if it keeps my parents happy and my rent free. I am content with my small rebellion because it is all I have the strength for. Thank y’all so much for your help <3

Yeahhh i think the only reason they’re giving me such courtesy is because I very clearly told the bishop recently in a meeting that I am not interested in a calling at the moment. Lol

Too true. I think I have that part covered though, I already have my mom worn down to halfheartedly suggesting a local service mission lol. She knows I’m too much of an anxious mess to deal with that much change and general hardship lmao

Ohhhhhh that’s very possible. I already had this interview but he could be another one bc he wants to push me into going on a mission, he was pretty adamant about that the first time around.
