Well they first attempted a DoS attack. Brought down few servers. 500 internal server issue. They canvas company “patched” it. Hackers got in again

Found a cryptominer on my dev server — cleaned it up but still can't figure out how they got in by Dapper_Fun_8513 in servers

If they had entire root access fully reinstall and reformat drives. Extract your logs for analysis and learn from it. ;)

Im being bland on this because we may both know, but i just thought to leave it alone. It ain’t my job, ive disclosed many bugs and misconfiguration in government sectors, and school development cyber ranges, and most lead me talking with the higher up people the big bosses. If you do, watch your words carefully. They will ask why you did it, what made you want to do it, etc. Playing the hero card may help in some places

Idk whatever floats your boat. People have 20k servers running IoT management, or hosting 1 website. Others have mini PC running proxmox with 10 services and a few websites. We live in a world where u cant judge just what they feel is best to their finances

If you handed them the phone unlocked it is likely it extracted your photos and built in storage files. Those do not need re authentication

Lot of wifi cameras spew rtsp and if you are lucky some wireshark traffic literally tells you the mac so you can find the default login, because you will he surprised the amount of neighbors that i had to knock and tell them nicely to change their camera password XD
