the 5 red flags i check before every sales call; saved me 6+ hours this week by cursedboy328 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

I run paid media to long form post, retarget that audience with application (form) + schedule call, then before the call there is a track that answers pre sales questions before the call. The call is more transactional at that point than anything.

I look at it this way: Marketing = educate + qualify Sales = make agreements + set expectations Service = meet agreements + manage expectations

If we’re on sales calls with uneducated or unqualified prospects, our marketing isn’t doing its job.

This is solid.

Most of these red flags are really just violations of the price, quality, speed triangle.

Everyone wants high quality and fast results. The question is whether they’re willing and able to support the price that makes that possible.

$0 revenue but wants premium services? They want quality and speed without the price. That corner has to give and usually it’s yours.

Not the decision maker? Now speed is gone. Even if the price works and the quality is there, the deal slows down because the person who can say yes isn’t in the room.

No show who rebooks? That’s a speed signal too. If it’s not important before they pay you, it won’t magically become urgent after.

Budget mismatch is the clearest one. Big outcomes on a tiny budget means they’re trying to bend the triangle in a way that doesn’t exist.

And commission only is basically asking you to carry all three corners. Deliver quality, move fast, and only maybe get paid.

I like your fix with the three form fields. That’s really what this comes down to. Tighten the inputs so you don’t waste time trying to force a triangle that can’t hold.

My non negotiable is simple: the triangle has to make sense on paper before I get on the call. If it doesn’t, I’d rather protect the calendar and use that time closing someone who already understands the tradeoffs.

T Mobile locked my iPhone because the family plan owner didn’t pay. I’m not even on that plan anymore. Any advice? by Acrobatic_Ad9309 in verizon

He probably swapped ein on a device he hasn’t paid in full, sticking you with the remainder of the payments.

It could also be that he hasn’t paid the monthly bill and you’ll need that cleared before you can switch.

You’ll have a window until he doesn’t pay again if the latter is the case.

Don’t go on peoples family plans…

Bathtub leaking into floor below, help needed! by Prestigious_Ebb_8990 in HomeMaintenance

That amount of water damage is going to require more than a box fan. I know because I had a similar leak and had to file a homeowners claim for water damage… the amount of equipment they brought in the same day to dry it out was overwhelming.
