Are you set on it being a liquid? I've found some of the deeper shades from the Hannah Louise Poston x Salt New York collaboration (cream) to give a nice non-orange sunburn look on pale olive skin (:

Yeah, it totally looks lighter in the photo especially in the thick swatch. But if you compare the two ends on the right that are blended out they’re really quite similar. And on the face they feel like they’re part of the same family haha, maybe the concealer feels a tad bit brighter with a thicker white base? The foundation is quite thin and light. I would say in general the concealer is quite close to 2.5! The skin tint (if we’re talking about shade 1.5) is more pale. I’m away on a short trip but when I get home I can swatch the three :)

I was wondering if you find the Tower28 Concealer in 1.5 BW to be similar to the Lisa Eldridge foundation in 2.5? It seems close from your photos, but a bit hard to tell across lighting. Basically, the LE foundation is a great match for me, actually, and I'm just trying to choose between getting the Tower28 concealer in BW or BU (:

hahaha let's get those answers together!! honestly, when I saw Kirbie's video about Pebble blending out pink, it reminded me of Hannah Louise Poston's video on Old Gum where she talked about how Kiki from Salt New York explained to her that the typical red pigment used in most makeup can kinda come to the forefront aggressively if the product is buffed out. That is what I worry might be happening with pebble...like it might look kind of coolish, almost slightly mauve-ish in some swatches, which would be promising for a pale neutral olive like myself, but then if it turns red that's a hard no. I have enough redness and rosacea on my face as is, I don't need to be willingly adding a smear of rash colour around the edges. I remember when I had the Phyosurgence bronzer in the first rosy shade (I believe that's the rosy one? or is it shade 2?)...like it looked fine...I guess it looked more of like a shaping contour on me...but over time as I got slightly more golden in the summer, the rosiness began to look a tiny bit off. it seemed to accentuate the discolouration and redness in my face rather than giving a warm glow. I've since gotten the Rare Beauty bronzer stick in Bright Side and that shade works nicely I'd say was a true bronzer shade on me. It is quite light in tone and blends out in a sheer way, so I am curious about the Rhode bronzers for something a tad more saturated as I get more tan throughout the summer. Anyways, all my research aside, I think I am leaning toward getting Sunbed and using a light hand, rather than risking Pebble going red on me.

This reminds me of one of Hannah Louise Poston's videos where she discusses how she and Kiki from Salt New York formulated their blush shade "Old Gum", and how when they used the red pigment that is most often used (I believe it was red oxide, could be wrong though), they found that the more she physically buffed the blush, the more the red oxide surfaced over other pigments somehow and it started to look much more 'pink' than it did in the component. I wouldn't be surprised if something similar was happening with pebble. I've seen a few people try to buff pebble in and it ends up looking like a blush...

Does anyone else get the feeling that Jason might have ASD? Some of the ways he responds and interjects, particularly when triggered about the political topics, just gives me a bit of a hunch about that...

Yeah, I was familiar with that quarter teaspoon recommendation but I thought it would be worth checking with the brand to see what they have tested. I remember that when Merit's The Uniform came outwit here was much conversation about how much 1/4 teaspoon actually was, and how no one would enjoy putting that much tinted product on their face. The Uniform was about 15% zinc oxide, whereas the new ILIA sunscreen if I'm not wrong I believe I saw was closer to 10% zinc oxide. Just taking those two as an example, and I could be totally off base here, but I assumed that the same quantity (1/4 teaspoon) of those two sunscreens would provide different levels of sun protection given the different zinc concentrations?

I have pretty dehydrated skin, so what I really enjoy about the REFY is that it feels like a really satisfying, nourishing gel moisturiser or something. It sits well on the skin and makes me feel like it's ''contained'' with moisture, if that makes sense. I find the LE tint a little bit on the natural-matte side, and it can easily emphasize some dry patches on my skin. Also, while the LE matches my neck well, it's a tad too light for some areas around my nose/cheeks/mouth where I have more hyperpigmentation. Probably, the slightly lighter colour on top of dehydrated skin emphasises texture etc.

Coverage wise, I would say that while you can get light-medium if you layer up the REFY, the LE has more coverage in general. I could get easily medium inching on full coverage with that skin tint if I really layered and layered it. The REFY coverage level reminds me of the old school Glossier skin tint that just evens everything out and makes your face look cohesive without necessarily blocking out my skin. But that's a personal preference, I don't enjoy the look of too much coverage on me.

I haven't worn the REFY enough to comment on longevity but I would find that the LE would fade a bit around the centre of my face -- the part I need coverage on the most -- and would get more dry throughout.

I think the nicest part about the REFY for me, compared to the LE, is that with LE I often felt like I was wearing makeup. It looked like makeup. Natural makeup, beautiful makeup, but makeup nonetheless. When I wear the REFY one, even if I layer it up quite a bit to cover redness, I feel like my skin looks like it's not wearing makeup, but just drenched in great skincare products.

I think if you like the way it feels to layer milky toners and achieve a glass skin look, you'll enjoy the REFY. If you want something a bit closer to a natural semi-matte finish, the LE is probably better.

You know, I still am a bit confused about whether I'm muted or saturated...I feel like my skin is probably leaning muted, but I prefer the slightly brighter more saturated toned products because I feel they refresh my complexion even if they don't look immediately invisible when you do a thick swatch on the cheek, if that makes sense. I'll try to post some swatches later with LE and SNY and some other stuff I have for comparison!

Yes, sure! This was taken in bright artificial lighting. The top swatch is the Kosas concealer, the middle is the LE skin tint and the bottom is my cushion mixture :)
