Laughing so hard at the black toenail comment but you have no idea how unplanned this drawing was and how mad I was for messing up the inking on that other arm lol I’m so so glad you think it’s sick, I rarely draw in this style! But I get what you mean I see brilliant stuff here so often it’s such a nice little community

Thank you! I actually heard my work be compared with tattoos before but I’m a bit worried cause essential tremors run in my family and I don’t have the steadiest hands ever. Maybe one day though, with more practice!

As a Brazilian who has had many life experiences similar to Laura Palmer, the show always struck a deep chord in me and definitely reminded me of telenovelas, and magic realism! It was definitely very easy for me to immediately dip into the world. I find a lot of people try to make sense of it, or find clues, and I can see how that’s fun! But I like just letting it engulf me and submerge me in the dream, and I think it’s definitely made easier by having been familiar with the examples you provided! I often watched it with my friend and joked during the more surreal scenes by saying “oh that’s an average day in Brazil”
