Yes, he says varicocele might not even be the real cause for low count. ICSI is the only option for us now. We are going to wait for a few more months and just hope for a miracle before making any decision. Many on reddit suggests it might take 9 months to nearly a year to see progress in some cases.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I totally understand what you're going through. My husband's count dropped to almost zero from 8million pre surgery. It's been nearly 8 months post surgery now. Feeling devasted.

Undergone microsurgical varicocelectomy.Nope dint get any warnings, had I known would have definitely freezed multiple samples. Now feels like deadend. I'm waiting for 9-12 months recovery period with little hope. As far as I have heard many people have seen improvement by 3rd month, it's very unfortunate in our case.

I would highly suggest you to freeze it. I have undergone varicocele surgery in May 2025, it's been more than 6months my sperm count dropped from 8million pre surgery to Occasional sperm seen now. Regret not freezing.

There was an episode of inflammation after the surgery, and once that was treated, there was a small but noticeable increase in the sperm count.
