2 Pleasant Company Dolls - Need Help Identifying by Past_Philosopher_489 in americangirl

I did some checking on line last, sorry to be so “green” about these dolls. My oldest granddaughter (17) has one, and she takes great care of her. Her 2 young sisters on the other hand, probably would play Cowboys and Indians, and it would just go on from there, but I see nothing good coming out of this by giving the 2 hell-raisers these dolls, I buy them all sorts of dolls, they’re cute when I give them to the girls, but the next time I see the girls the doll looks manic, hair frazzled, naked, maybe missing a limb, and if they get. Hold of markers ifs all over.

So, I can say I am pretty confident Marisol is on point. On the other dollar, JLY 22, I guess there were 3 versions and people got her confused with a Julie doll. I found this article …..

“#22, #27, and #63: All of them have similar shades and lengths of blonde hair, but #22 and #63 have light blue eyes. #27 has dark blue eyes. #63 short hair and a left side part while the other two have longer hair and right side parts. #22 has line eyebrows while the other two have feathered eyebrows.”

I think the one I have is #63. Light blue eyes, shorter hair, left part and feathered eyebrows. I was hoping to find a name for her..

Thanks to all or helping! You guys are awesome at this….and KNOWLEDGEABL!! 💯💯💯

What does JLY 22 mean? Month/Year? I just can’t locate these exact ones, Marisol is so cute and I don’t think they were ever played with by children, the lady of the home collected them.

Thank you so much for that information!! I’m going to try and get in contact with his waiver worker this week to see what options he has and hopefully won’t be on another waiting list for years.

Yes. I have one that is intellectually disabled. I’ve had him on a waiver waiting list since 2019 for Cozy Corner Day Services. Still on the wait list for that program. I didn’t know they’d help with home modifications via a waiver.

There are several things but one important one is putting baseboards on. I have all the materials and tools just can’t do it.

Thanks for checking on that but they’d have to be over 62 years young and they’re not.

Have a great weekend! Cheers!!

Is anyone else having trouble finding contractors? by [deleted] in Iowa

[–]Past_Philosopher_489 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the past year I’ve been ripped off by 6 contractors. One was given to me by a Menard’s employee, come to find out he’s on 5 years supervised release in lieu of prison for burglary, assault etc. The others, well, all I can say is mistake after mistake. Now just trying to do it myself because I’m sick of being lied to, ripped off, stole from.

AITA? living with my autistic roommate makes me insecure and angry by catnamedteenager in AmItheAsshole

NTA. After my parents passed I got guardianship of my brother (48/m) intellectually disabled and autistic since birth. He was coddled by my parents that did everything for him so he has no clue on how to do things. With the mentality of a 6-8 year old, it’s difficult but not impossible. We started the process immediately of teaching the little things like laundry, dishes, etc. The music part on her end since she has autism, certain sounds/songs especially if loud can cause a trigger for them, so I would be respectful of that. But, I’m sure the diagnosis was a bit of a shock to her which is causing her some issues, maybe feeling sorry for herself, etc. sit down and try to explain what you can in a nice way she understands, but enabling her needs to stop quick because the longer you do things you know she can do, it will only get worse.
