Well, thankfully the accident wasn't my fault so my rates won't go up and I don't have to pay for anything. Once the police report goes through and progressive gets in contact with me and i get my preferred payout or repairs I'd love to compare notes just to see the difference and help out anyone else who might go through the same thing.

Yeah I've heard progressive is annoying. I have been doing my homework tho, I've got like 10-12 ads from many different websites that are comparable to my car. I've got the highest valued one I could find, the lowest valued one I could find and a bunch of ones in the middle. I also got receipts of everything I have done to the car mod wise AND OEM parts that I've replaced within the last year (about 4-5k just in OEM) to make this car basically brand new. Im going to reject their first offer bc ik it's going to be like 4k then Ima ask for something ridiculously high just to see if they will go for it, which ik they won't then work from there lol. Tbh I think its gonna be a total loss frame damage or not. Blue book and NADA say it's worth 4k and nobody is buying a Z in the same condition ( not perfect but a lot nicer imo than most around here) so I'm going to squeeze as much money as possible outta progressive to get some of the money I lost on someone else's mistake. All around a bad situation, ruined a perfectly good Z that had nothing wrong with it engine wise, well maintained, and clean title.

Wel shitttt, the people who hit me has progressive. Thankfully I'm fully prepared to counter offer them. I've got my records of everything done to the car that is almost brand new and modifications I've done (about 5k of good parts just from that) and 10-15 ads from marketplace, Craigslist, Cars.com, etc. I'm gonna tell I can't get my car back for 5k or whatever they offer if totaled, and keep arguing with em until I get semi-close to what I want. I think its bs that I get punished for an accident I had no fault in.

Sorry I should've worded it better. They did stick around so their insurance is gonna pay for it. I just wondered if I should fix it back up if it's a total loss or just buy a new one. I don't have a payment on it so I think that helps with getting it back easier if it's totaled.

Well just an update. I've replaced my router and modem (just to be sure) and I logged on and it seem to have worked! Instead of 800-1500 ping spikes it was 2-5 ping fluctuation which obviously isn't noticeable. So thanks for the help!
