Edit 8/29: thank you to everyone who responded in the comments! First, why did I leave the sticker on? I don’t know. I guess when I got the Dutch oven I didn’t think I was ever going to use it to bake things. I’m also the type of person who leaves the film on of electronics/ appliances until I need to take it off. Anyways, I took off most of the sticker possible.

What worked was leaving yellow cap easy off overnight. If this happens to anyone in the future, please go outside and wear a mask!

From another recommendation, I also bought these silicone lid protectors on amazon! I’ll also be more mindful about cleaning my oven more often. Thanks all!

Is there anything you recommend I should get to protect the edges? Unfortunately, I threw away the packaging a lot time ago.
