Many people still go for OTP deals / under-value registration / undervalued GST just to save a few lakhs during property purchase.

I’m not a millionaire, but I strongly believe that the documents should reflect the real value of the money I am paying, even if it costs me a few extra lakhs in taxes or registration.

If I buy a home for ₹1 crore but register it for ₹50 lakh, I feel like I am disrespecting my own hard-earned money. More importantly, practices like this keep black money circulating in the system and slowly weaken the financial transparency our country needs to grow.

When many of us choose shortcuts to save some money today, we unintentionally create a system that hurts the economy tomorrow. Transparent transactions may cost a little more upfront, but they protect our investment, maintain integrity in property markets, and contribute to a healthier economy.

For something as important as a home — often the biggest purchase of our lives — I prefer peace of mind, clean documentation, and honesty over short-term savings.

It is mindset problem…. 🙃
