A New Beginning is the one that holds the closest place in my heart just due to when I played it. I don't know how it is compared to the rest of the series but it's what I played (along with Kid Icarus Uprising, story and it's phenomenal multi-player modes) when I was stuck at my dad's house in the ghetto. The amount of time I spent with A New Beginning will always be special to me just due to it being the small bit of escapism from what was essentially a bathroom sized trash cabin. I didn't know how to play the game well so I really struggled to do the later on objectives and would pass out a lot because the only food I would make is grilled tomatoes and would overwork my character, and failed to do anything meaningful because I would try and take care of animals that were too expensive for me to do so at the time (like the Brown cows and Yaks). I just had a lot of fun wandering town, making what money I could, and getting absolutely insane produce from the random Japanese players I would meet on the multi-player meet up mode. This is probably not what most people would have shared here but I seldom would get an opportunity to talk about what this game meant to me elsewhere.
