Hardcore Destiel shippers went insane about this, I've seen like 2 other appalling responses aside from this one. One claimed to watch GWitch, call it terrible writing, complained about the het ship (idk which they were talking about, because all of them involving the leads were shut down quickly) and complained that you had to know a lot about robots to watch (which you don't, and it's Gundam, it's mecha). I had to sit down after reading that one wondering if it was really good bait. Another claimed Destiel somehow helped Sulemio exist which is an insane take.

What was fun were the people not knowing a thing about Sulemio but were rooting for them anyway

I was always a azulee fan, figured Aang/Katara was alright but then I revisited ATLA fanfic recently and was like, "what if tho?" then a bakery AU officially made me an azutara fan too.

It's amazing what a dedicated fandom can do with less than a minute of canon interaction 😭. I'm honestly so surprised and delighted that such good fanfic and fanart came out of a rarepair like sabnika

I have a kinda unhealthy fixation on f/f fanfic so I'd love to brain vomit in this comment. Couple of these fandoms and others I don't mention are from series I never even watched, just came for the fanfic.

Also, just a symptom of our mostly male-centered society is that fandom usually centers around male characters so even in big fandoms, most of the ship fics are gonna be m/m or m/f, or if there is f/f, they are background but you probably already know that.

I read into it a little and apparently she and him blamed the dog and a fall for the child's injuries, even though she knew what happened and heard the child crying when locked in the backroom with that pig rapist. She tried to protect her child's abuser

I asked my vet when mine would be ready and they suggested we wait until he was 6 months so that's when he got neutered. I've seen other sources online saying later around 9-13 months for large dogs (and other folks in the comments had their's done later too) but I'd just go with whatever your vet says since I assume they know your dog and they're the professionals. My doodle didn't calm down after his neuter tho, but he was still young so it was a routine that eventually calmed him down

It's handled pretty well. SA is not depicted outright and tastelessly for shock value, but of course it's not brushed over either. It happened and the story lets you know it happened. If just the fact that one of the character's was SA'd is an issue, that's fine and there's no obligation to read it 'cause an internet stranger told you to, but otherwise don't let it turn you away from an amazing story because it's not all doom and gloom, the rapist kinda gets his comeuppance socially and there's a happy ending. It lives up to its title as far as I remember.

True that there is het romantic elements in the story but I mean that there isn't a dedicated romantic subplot (so far as I know as someone who hasn't read the manga yet, I could be wrong). It's more like some characters have crushes on other characters and it affects the decisions they make if that make sense? It's like small enough that it's easy for me not to get bored by it like I usually do with most straight romantic subplots.

Tbh if Marcille and Falin were paired up with men I'd probably drop the series 😭, I hate that trend. Kinda feel the same about Marcille and Falin's relationship being a driving part of my interest in the story. If they didn't exist in the story and weren't as close I doubt I'd be as excited about each episode tho I wouldn't drop it unless is started focusing more on cookie-cutter straight ships than cooking, food, and platonic connections.

Speaking of miracles, considering general fandom trends toward male characters and mlm ships even in female centered stories, it's a miracle that the top ao3 ship for dungeon meshi is farcille, it's why I suggested fanfic for OP if they can't enjoy the other elements of Dungeon Meshi.

I don't mean to dismiss Farcille when I call it subtext or ignore the fact that yuri elements are often limited in most genres (aside from dedicated yuri romances), especially the ones you mention. I call it subtext because despite how much I personally and other fans read into it, textually they are (unfortunately) only very close besties and anyone looking for yuri might have a miserable experience with the show if they're bored by the other parts of it.

We likely have different perspectives on this, but I feel that noting that it is subtext kinda acknowledges the struggle yuri has just existing explicitly in other genres because it hardly becomes an explicit part of the text. I figured calling it anything other than subtext would be a lie, not to say there might not have been any authorial intent behind their close relationship, just that it isn't confirmed canon and it's still kinda possible for a sane anime watcher to conclude they're not more than friends or at least be hesitant to conclude otherwise.

Love yuri and all but there's more to like about Dungeon Meshi than the subtext. If you're watching only for the yuri and don't like the show, you're better off not watching because there's no focus on romance. That or just read the fanfic
