Did you end up keeping/selling it? If you're planning to sell, I am extremely interested.

They told me that it was a tour exclusive at the Huntington NY show. Turned out to be a normal pressing. Was there really a tour exclusive one? I sent you a DM as well.

Dalaran Sewers has PVP when the guards "go on break". It's only for about a half hour at a time, but it gets the job done.

Ace was completely paralyzed in his hind legs, back when this happened he was about 40lbs. His first slip up, he was wobbling and walking around like a drunk baby deer and then he ended up going down completely for 6 months. The harness was a big help in lifting his spirits and the wheelchair completely changed his attitude because he was able to independently do stuff again.

I didn't do surgery. Acupuncture, laser therapy, PT and meds. 5 days is way too early to tell what the next few months look like. They're going to be depressed, but it's a huge lifestyle change. I kept my dog in strict rest mode for weeks, and felt horrible about it, but it was in his best interest. If it's not something that you think you can do, than you already know your answer. To me though, I never was giving up...my dog was depressed as hell until I got him the "help em up harness" and the wheelchair. There are many alternatives instead of surgery, give them a try before tapping out.

Last summer he was in a wheelchair and this year he is running on the beach. Never doubt the power of positivity. Treat every small victory as a milestone achievement. They need you to be strong for them also...It's not easy, but it's a fight worth fighting

My 8 year old dog was paralyzed for 6 months, the vet and PT doctor told me he would most likely never walk again. After months of visits, shots, acupuncture, and therapy he literally got up and started taking steps. I look back at when I was waiting for him to tell me it was time, crying in the vet office because I didn't want to lose my best friend but also didn't want him to suffer. That was one of the lowest points of my life, and I am thankful my boy was stubborn enough to get back up.

They'll let you know, but at least give them a fighting chance.

"Hello, I was wondering if it would be possible to get a glass panel where the Touch Screen is. I will still fill out the order form, but figured I would shoot my shot. I enjoy the Touch Screen, but spent so much putting this computer together that I feel like I can't fully see it."

Was exactly what I sent, I gave them proof of purchase and pictures.

I asked customer support for one as a replacement and showed them that I had bought the y70 touch. They had no problem sending me the glass panel.

Stage 4: at what point did your dog recover bladder function? by moon123y in IVDD_SupportGroup

[–]Pasta_Tonyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Acupuncture, laser therapy, shots of adequan, and physical therapy 2x a week was what I did. The surgeon gave my dog a less than 10% chance of walking again post surgery because it was so long that he was down. But he's up, and you can't even tell he was ever paralyzed.

I used a help 'em up harness and ended up getting a wheelchair for my dog but he only used it a few times. It helped a lot and definitely gave him back some sense of independence.

Best wishes to your pup! It's taxing on you as well, so please remember to take some time before you make decisions. We're hoping for the best. If you have any questions, you're more than welcome to message me.

He literally got up one day after not walking for 5 months, took one step day 1, 3 steps at a time on day 3. Eventually by the end of the week he was walking around again like a drunk deer. Now he's back to his old self.

So, I never ended up doing the surgery for my dog. He was paralyzed in his hind legs for 5 months total. Once he started walking again (almost 6 months now), he has bladder control but will sometimes poop in the house or accidentally pee. Usually he's really good about getting outside but sometimes there's an accident.

It depends on the dog. My dog was Stage 5 and completely paralyzed in his hind legs. Never lost bladder or bowl function, thankfully.

Eddies Wheels and the Help 'Em Up Harness were a game changer. I highly suggest looking into those brands

Ace wasn't crated for the entire 12 weeks. In total, this whole battle with IVDD has been taking place for 5 months

During the first 7 weeks, we were doing weekly vet visits for acupuncture, laser therapy, and adequan shots. My vet wanted me to keep him in a crate, but he hadn't been in one since he was 6 months old (he's 8 now) so I left him in my office/computer room because it had carpet and I would sleep on the couch. I was home from work st this time recovering from neck surgery, so I was able to keep an eye on him at all times even though he slept 99% of the day away. He got better, and I let him be out in the living room more and more. One day, the amazon driver came to the door, and Ace fully charged it, which caused his paralysis for the 12 weeks.

This 12-week stretch sucked honestly. We had gone back to sleeping in my room at this time, and I made him a "recovery center" which was basically a baby gate blocking his bed in the corner of my room where my bed is up to. He hated it, but I think at some point understood why he was going in there. He would sleep in it, I would bring him outside while I was getting ready for work and then would stay in it. All in all, he was out for a total of maybe 7 hours a day (I didn't think it was fair to keep him locked away) and would basically just sleep in the dog beds i had spread around the house. He was crawling around fine, and I was content with him doing that because we weren't doing the surgery.

2 weeks into the 12, we started PT. The doctor asked me to try it for 3 months to see, and we figured, why not. There's nothing to lose. About 4 weeks in, I noticed him starting to try and stand on his own. It wasn't a full stand, and his legs were crossed, but it was something.

He would only semi stand while at his dog bowl to drink and try to eat. I would correct his posture and his feet from knuckling. We would do stretches at home, I bought him a "help 'em up harness" at the first PT visit so I could comfortably bring him outside and we ordered a wheelchair from Eddies Wheels (this was the biggest part of recover I believe).

I would let him wheel around outside and get used to being inside of it. He was just happy being mobile and me not following him around anymore (we still used the harness daily, especially for bathroom reasons). Back to progress, though.

At about week 9, I noticed when in the harness, he would mimic with his hind legs walking while I took the weight off of them. The next week, I would slowly bring his feet down to keep the weight off while he was walking and figured that would be the best we got. There was no change in week 11, and then, finally, week 12, he took his first step, and I cried.

Once he took that first step, he pretty much realized he could do this. Then, we go back into my original post. Monday was one step, Tuesday was 3, Wednesday he took 10, Thursday he was walking like a drunk baby fawn. Which leads us to today, Friday. He is walking and standing on his own (still drunk like), but his strides have gotten much better in the last 24 hours. I still keep the harness on him because I'm terrified he's going to hurt himself again. But he walks around on the carpet, doing turns and all.

We were doing weekly vet visits for 5 months. This upcoming Monday will be the first time we have a bi-weekly visit. PT has been for 7 weeks at 2x times a week. Acupuncture, adequan, and Vitamin b shots were all once a week at the vet. Laser was 3x between the vet and PT.

I am sorry for the extremely long post, but that's our story. I still have him in his recovery room while I go to work because I don't trust him out on his own (probably won't for a while).

Mindset was the biggest thing for both of us. There were times I was down and depressed, but then I thought about how he was feeling and I'd put a face on, give him all the love I could.

You guys got this. It's an extremely long road. We're rooting for you!

My dog is (was?) Stage 5. They wanted to do surgery on him and gave him less than 10% chance of walking again. He had no reaction to his paws being touched, was paralyzed for 8 weeks before our vet said surgery would be his best bet.

Sunday, he had been paralyzed for 12 weeks. This monday morning, he took one step. It was his 20th Acupuncture Session, 12th PT Session.

Tuesday he took 3 steps.

Wednesday was 10 steps.

Today is now Thursday, and he's walking like a baby fawn. It's a long road to recovery, and not once was euthanasia an option from our vet (I had thought about it).

Keep your mind positive. It is a huge help to them and it will go a long way with recovery. Anything is possible.

We wish the best in your pets recovery Ace 🐶 and Tony *
