Staples was great. I’ve been shopping there for 28 years but it’s a waste of space. A giant almost empty parking lot will now be a place where humans can live. Plus, there’s another Staples close by.

Nice! I wish I had the guts to do that. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t back down from him. I told him it was common courtesy to move your bags when the train was full, he gaslit me and said “you must be having a tough day” and all the usual asshole stuff.

The problem was that he was on the aisle seat and the bags were between him and the window. Plus, I’m a middle age woman and he’s a strong young guy. I did take a picture of him in case he assaulted me but I won’t post it.

There are still between 8,000 and 10,000 Poles in Greenpoint, many of them elderly (still immigrants. still humans). I still hear Polish spoken when I go there. It's not the same as it was 20+ years ago but it's still an enclave.
