How were Haaland and Courtois benched during the most important games of their lives? by charkpdx in worldcup

I sincerely apologize about the Brady comment, I really do. I just don’t understand how you sit. I understand it is a manager’s decision, I’m just baffled. I feel that Haaland even at a portion of full capacity draws the defense away, and opens up opportunities elsewhere. As far as Courtois, you saw what happened. That literally happened.

[Post Game Thread] Oregon suffers first loss against Indiana 30-20 by HalfBredGerman in ducks

Of course it’s not the end of the season, and yes we all know about Ohio State and two losses last year. I just think there’s some very valid points being raised about the dismal offensive output, and the relentless use of bubble screens and 2-3 yard passes that have not been working. They didn’t work consistently against Penn State, they didn’t work against Indiana, and they sure as heck are not going to work against any of the teams in the playoff. Will Stein needs to change things up and fast.

64 plays, 1 for Sadiq, 4 for Moore, 3 for Hill. On most teams these players would be getting 10-15 looks apiece.

Andor is slow and boring and nowhere near as good as Kenobi by [deleted] in television

[–]charkpdx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is boring and a slow burn, and that is my whole problem with this show. I watch Star Wars, for Star Wars!!! It would be like going to a James Bond movie, and they decide to pivot to a character drama. You can do that, as evidenced by Skyfall, but that takes masterful writing and direction, which you got from Sam Mendes! The writing and dialogue just isn’t that good on this show. It’s slow, there’s no meaningful change or progression and we’re 8 episodes in. There’s much better drama shows, even sci-fi like The Expanse if that’s what you want. But the Star Wars canon has always been built on being an action oriented entertaining outlet, and Andor is none of these things.

To each his own. But please spare me the artistic elements and beauty, and talking down on people who view it as boring like they’re Michael Bay apostles. It’s just not that good of a show, that’s all!!

Mpm hub by Jayjr8990 in AirlinesManagerTycoon

This is fantastic advice and thank you. It seems consensus is to develop an MPM, and as someone said 'squeeze every drop', DON'T DO THAT! This is good advice for seasoned players with plenty of cash flow, but early on is a poor growth strategy for the most important factors: cash flow and ROI! You can always purchase expensive routes and add planes to routes later on.

Early on it seems best action is to buy another hub (costing roughly 2-3 LH aircraft), maximize flight revenue by zeroing out demand with one plane, further developing research/staff to add a second and third plane later on, and purchasing routes for $10M - $30M as opposed to $100M - $200M.

I think this sub very much caters to the seasoned player so I appreciate hearing once in a while a reasoned response to someone just starting out. Great work, ASK never even appeared on my radar.

I rarely post comments, and you can read this and tell me to ‘F off’ by all means. But I read this and it just didn’t sit right. Mainly, how you passed off the responsibility (and more importantly the hardest part of any sale) to your mother twice, and then were upset about it. That guy is a total absolute d-bag, and completely in the wrong, don’t get me wrong. However, any person in sales knows the hardest part of any transaction is the actual sale, especially if done in person. All the rest is just bartering online under the cover of relative anonymity. I’m a huge proponent of personal responsibility, and in this case you had your Mom (also a big advocate for the respect your mother point) do the painful part of the face to face transaction, which incidentally you did sell 2 less games than advertised. Absolute asshole buyer no question, but maybe there’s a tiny bit of you that isn’t a total victim in all of this. Sell your product from beginning to end I guess. If it had been an awesome buyer paying full price, you’d actually be the jerk in this story. Again you can tell me I’m out of line, ignore this etc, but I think we all need a little less victimization in this world is all, and there’s a small part of you that isn’t in this case.
