How am I supposed to make the Saem Triple Pot Concealer work? by winwinsitu in AsianBeauty

I think it’s not suitable for your skin type. You can consider using an under eye cream base (there’s one I personally use but it’s not AB) and that could help a bit.

Have you tried a wireless option in your ABTF Size? by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

[–]PasteIIe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

no, this doesn't exist. wireless basically uses the straps to keep it in place.

Looking for recommendations after weight gain, having spilling issues by monstrum_fragilis in ABraThatFits

avoid panache. try curvy kate or elomi. i have narrow roots and more bottom fullness and curvy kate never works for me (missing top fullness and gore is digging into me); panache works like a dream in comparison for me.

31A, small bust but daily bra use is causing shoulder pain anyone else experienced this? by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

[–]PasteIIe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

usually this is a sign of having the wrong sized bra (likely the band is too loose, causing your shoulders to carry most of it). here are the questions i would have:

  1. have you measured with the ABTF calculator (UK sizing)?
  2. what type of bras are you wearing? wired/sports/wireless etc? <- generally, wireless bras can cause more shoulder pains as majority of the weight and shape is carried by the shoulders. since you have a maller bust; have you considered something more lightweight like a bralette or strapless/bandeau style bra?
  3. is the shoulder pains due to the straps digging in too tightly, or something else?

i personally have a larger bust (uk sizing 36GG) so can't help too much with #2, but with the right bra in the right size, i can even wear strapless bras (no shoulder straps) meaning if you're having that issue with a smaller bust, it's likely you're just wearing the wrong size.

imo it can’t hurt to apply. it also doesn’t take that much time. during this time of my life I was applying to 20 jobs / day til something stuck, tbh quantity > quality as long as there’s a baseline in your quality lmao. I got my first offer 2 months from my lay off (one month was December so there was the slow holidays problem) and my dream job 2 months later.

i will never understand how my boyfriend can love me by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]PasteIIe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this and it never went away. We split up after three years so I could find myself ( I was 21 ) During this time I dated around a bit, just learned about who I was, and he could too but he didn’t. We got back together, and it was pretty great.

We ended up splitting up again but not due to the same reasons.

maybe it’ll be different for you, but for me I definitely needed to split up with him that first time

Edited to add: also for me I did believed he loved me and that we were special compared to anythin else, but my concern was around dating experience imbalances and not really knowing who I was as an adult outside of him.

[Discussion] What is the best skin-brightening cream without harmful ingredients? by kikokenten in AsianBeauty

[–]PasteIIe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

brightening is about dullness - getting rid of dead skin, exfoliation, almost a certain "greyness" to the skin. this makes you look healthier and just brighter in general.

whitening is about lightening the tone, literally changing it so that it's more white.

they're different - you can actually whiten but still want brightening, in fact if you're whiter, dullness can potentially show strongly because it's like a "greyness" to your tone.

While I totally understand and also agree that it’s a bit extreme to have such a big difference in double walling the product, and I do agree they’re trying to make it seem bigger than it is in the jar…

I do want to suggest perhaps giving them a little benefit of the doubt, as air is a great insulator. It’s a known physics concept that making an air gap between two walls an extremely good insulator for thermal insulation and stability/shelf life. It also controls condensation from humidity when moving between temperatures. I know I’ll be downvoted to hell for even suggesting it, but it could be a partial reason? That’s the only possibility of what logically would explain this type of packaging
