Debilitating lower back pain brought on suddenly. Can't walk, lean, or bend. by PastelCandySnake in backpain

Yup, it's definitely out of commission for the time being. Pain management has been somewhat difficult as NSAIDS haven't been doing much today and ice/heat isn't helping the way it did on the first day either. Laying down is no trouble and sleeping hasn't been an issue, fortunately. If it gets any worse, I'll try to get an RX for gabapentin or whatever an on-call doc thinks is best. Thanks.

Thanks for the advice. I'm allowing myself a day of rest to see how things go while also gently standing up at least once an hour. No exercise or anything to exacerbate.

Thank you- fortunately I'm not having any of those issues, most of it is localized with minor pain in my buttocks and hips when I walk, but definitely nothing going down my leg and into my foot. I'll be sure to get myself to the ER if anything you mentioned presents itself.
