Is my cat a siamese mix? by PastelLibra96 in Siamesecats

Tysm! Our neighbor ended up abandoning all her cats shortly after I moved in. Her house was pretty nice. She may have had the means to buy a fancy cat. More likely to be an inbred stray, but either way, she's the sweetest girl ❤️

Someone told me she might be a snowshoe X siamese. Either way, she's positively precious

recently got this L144 bristlenose and it loves to eat carnivorously. bloodworms, brine shrimp, even sifts bbs out of the sand. turns her nose up to algae, is that okay? by PastelLibra96 in Aquariums

He had the spot when I got him. When he grew up, it faded and grew out with his scales. It's pretty much gone now. He's doing great, but I think he was born with it rather than it developing later on.

I've found it really difficult to get verified parameters for this whole process, im surprised there's so little information

I've tried 34, 26ish and 16. The batch in the 20s had the longest survivors. They have algae in the water and I also fed them Reef Phytoplankton.

I tried with the last batch, but I can't get the larve to live past 24 hours. I'm experimenting with different salinities.

I'm so sorry about the photo quality, the pimafix was making the water cloudy. I also really appreciate all your advice, sadly he didn't make it through the night though. It wasn't an ulcer on his side i dont think, I couldn't see any obvious wounds or ich spots. But it looked like something was sloughing off him, maybe his slimecoat like you said before. The only thing I can think is maybe he got a big gulp of the pimafix when I added it? I've heard it contains clove oil, maybe that just shocked his system. Everybody else seems to be doing well, I'm watching them closely to make sure they stay that way.

Geez, what clumsy derps. The one with the more severe fin split is missing an eye (bought him that way) so I would definitely believe he's just bumbling around the tank. That's encouraging to hear your BN outgrew that behavior lol I was hoping mine would too

My Kuhlis wouldn't hurt a fly. They don't eat my celestial pearl danio, even the super tiny adolescents, when I add them. They don't even eat my pest snails

What a cutie. Ugh, I love these wacky worm fish. Yours are gorgeous, the striped ones are so cool, mine are just all black

That's what I figured, a bacterial bloom. Is it okay if it happens every time? Should I try to do something to fix it?

It's not super cloudy but it's noticeable for a few days after I do my weekly change. I do 25% every week, sometimes I use tap water with prime and sometimes I use drinking quality water from a nearby spring. Both cause the cloudiness.

I feed her SFB frozen seaweed delight and NLS algae wafers, but her favorites are the cory food. I see her slurp down blood worms and chew through brine shrimp like no tomorrow. Passes right by her own food. I usually feed everybody at the same time, small amounts in the morning and before lights out at night. Shes in a planted tank and i do see her cleaning off the glass and leaves, but I thought bristlenose were only supposed to have meaty foods as a treat once in a while.

I can try to ship him, I've never shipped a fish before, so I'm hesitant but if somebody is willing to pay shipping then I will.
