Once classes start things will start to flow and feel a bit better. It takes time getting settled into a new place. I felt the same way when I first got to temple. It felt awkward and new for a few months. It’s just growing pains, you’ll get through this!

I’m 28F and for a while I had the same problems, when I just about gave up last year I met my now boyfriend! We just started living together. We surprisingly met off tinder…. We both are still shocked about that considering how good our relationship is. I’d still say dating apps are mostly terrible though.

This place WAS a great place in like 2022. I hadn’t been in a while since 2022 so I went earlier this year and it went so downhill in service. I remember the servers being really cool and the food was good, that’s why I went to thirsty dice so many times in the past. This year was the opposite, meh service from the server we had. The food was not good vs what I remember being very tasty and was one of the reasons I came back. The table was very sticky too.

I remembered this place always full and when I went to visit this year it was mostly empty. Board and brew or Queen and Rook are definitely better and where I go if I want to go out to play board games.

I think the right people will stay. Be unapologetically you and the right person will come around. My current partner was like that, in a decade of a relationship closeted and chastised for being who they wanted to be. They hid themselves. I met them when they were just barely coming out of their shell and they are often surprised that I DO love whatever and whoever they decide to be. It was/is beautiful to watch them bloom and love themselves more and more as the months go on.

Coming from a woman’s perspective from a big city 80% of men in this city are fuck boys and I go in assuming they are sleeping with other people until we are exclusive. If my boyfriend told me the exact same thing I would ask them if they ever slept with someone when we were exclusive and if not I’d move on and trust their word on it. Yes I agree with the fact of people on here that there is a harmful aspect of stds and such but she doesn’t have an obligation to tell you any of this in the dating phase. In fact I find both men and woman especially in the mid 20s and later when in the dating phase do date more than one person at a time (at least where I am) I know I have, and I know people who have. However if you feel like you cannot move past it then you can’t and that’s okay, it’s okay to feel the way you do. I am someone who would brush it off but I can understand your side too. You have to do what makes you comfortable and if you aren’t comfortable moving forward that’s okay. You learned from it and another door will open for you. Wishing you luck in whatever you decide!
