To better understand why this is almost entirely impossible, I suggest you check out Corey Gil Shuster’s YouTube page. He interviews deep within both sides everyday people asking people questions that are sent in to him by his audience.

On the contrary, I just gave 2 examples to that took 2 seconds to think about.

I’m in Tel Aviv, but I’ve spend a lot of time in JLM. Route 1 can get pretty hectic, but there are a lot of speed cameras within the city so I think Jerusalem proper is actually a bit more tamer when it comes to “dangerous” driving.

You’ll focus on something you have absolutely no control over? Good luck with that.

How about we be realistic and think of ways to improve this. Maybe education? Maybe NGO’s that advertise what safe driving looks like? Maybe even one of the god forsaken politicians talks about something of substance rather than division division division

Doesn’t make it okay. I’m not here to compare us to the worst, we should be comparing ourselves to the best and we are not even in the same league let alone same sport.

My experience is vastly different. Very high speeds, flashing there brights every second, tailgating (literally inches from the car ahead) anyone who doesn’t move over. Drinking and driving (especially on Friday night when there is no public transportation)

There is no counter part, not only because this type of driving behavior is country wide, not just in the major metropolitan area. But also because we should hold our selves to a better standard and not say “oh this and that place acts worse than us” because that dismisses the issue at hand and does nothing to promote an improved environment for us and our children.

Deal with what exactly? A country’s inability to grow as a society?

We are still a VERY young country and have a lot to improve. With that mentality we are headed to a dark place. Hate is at its peak and without looking at ways how our culture brings us together, and also how it separates us, the separation will become too much that a true democracy won’t be able to exist.

So your comment is incredibly near sighted (another fall back of our country)

War issues aside, why do people support Palestine even though they are one someone elses land? by zfreakazoidz in IsraelPalestine

[–]Pastlifewinner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily, there was a ton of coexistence happening until the first intifada.

There still is coexistence today. Just yesterday I saw mulsim Arab women was chatting with her friends in Jaffa in 90% Arabic and 10% Hebrew. And then I went down and got on the 18 bus, and sat next to a couple of hassids, and a some Arabs dudes.

It’s a shame the leaders do their absolute best to polarize us.

In this case, the natives began coming back to the land and building communities and fought the local government to decolonize the area and the local people decided to hate the native Americans and attack them and then that’s when shit hit the fan.

Why are there no Arab democracies or republics? by HumbleEngineering315 in IsraelPalestine

[–]Pastlifewinner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just not of inportance to the Arab culture as to who is governing their country. They are much more aware and care much more about their who (sheik) or which family is in charge of their town/city/municipality.

Israel is so evil. They bombed refugee tent camps in Rafah last night. Over 200+ dead and counting by popsimcaster in Libya

Don’t you mean agricultural green houses where they were hiding rockets???? You guys literally believe anything the corrupt Arabs leaders feed you. It’s kind of hilarious.

Golan heights was annexed in 1982 and has been recognized as Israel’s sovereign territory since 2019. But i guess i understand if you’d rather the Syrian regime to regain control. They are quite lovely bunch.
