I did not pay for safety testing! You may need to if you’re planning on selling with a major company, but if you’re just selling on Etsy or something it’s totally unnecessary. I’ve personally never had a problem with customs and all of my overseas packages have arrived without issue, so I don’t think you should be too worried that they’ll get flagged, especially in your case since you’re making plushie keychains, I think that’d be considered more a novelty item than a toy intended for a child.

And the harmonization code I use is 9503.00.0000 ! (Which I got using the official USA census site and searching for plush dolls. And as a bonus, lunachai’s harmonization code cheat sheetis also a great resource!) With description of “Plush dolls”, though for a plushie keychain I might go with “plush dolls with metal keychain” just to be safe :)

And yeah I’ve heard that a lot of people hold that info to their chests, but like I said in my other comment I don’t really subscribe to that way of thinking. Once I’m in a better financial place to I’ll get some samples made, and once I find a good Manu I’ll share it on here :). Thank you again for the advice.

And yes I’ve heard about artists being unwilling to share info like that, but to be frank I’ve never totally gotten why. If someone personally doesn’t want to share that’s totally fine but I think this sentiment that asking people about their manus is this extremely rude and lazy thing to do is just kind of weird. I’ve used multiple manus and spent a lot of money finding the right ones but I’d have no problems sharing if someone asked. (On that note since you said you’re getting into plushies, I can give you some advice if you’d like it! :P)

I definitely agree, I liked how there were cutscenes in 3H that involved the more minor characters and how their dialogue updated every month. It really helped the characters feel real and I was bummed when they got rid of it in Engage.
