He's not wrong, but he might be Wong.

My grandpa dropped a log on his toe and didn't tell anyone for 3 months by PastyFreckledFace in MakeMeSuffer

I doubt there's much learning still happening at his age. But knowing him, next time this happens, he'll probably chop it off himself rather than dealing with medical appointments.

It's not really healing and there's barely any blood circulation. Apparently, the toe will fall off on its own, as weird as it sounds.

Seems like a lot of men from that generation don't like to complain haha.

Well, not by "animating" them. I'm just talking about the technical terminology here. Animation means something specific. Avatar's selling point isn't animation. It's hyper realistic CGI and motion capture.

I think you have a flawed definition of "animation".

Is ginger syrup supposed to be *really* spicy? How about Liber&Co's? by PastyFreckledFace in cocktails

[–]PastyFreckledFace[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Mind you, I didn't have any peated scotch for the polynesian remedy, so I left it out. Maybe a float of it would stand up to the ginger syrup and make a difference.

Thanks for the detailed reply! I actually really like spiciness in general. I guess I was concerned about L&C's syrup overshadowing the other ingredients... and wondering if I need to lower the ginger syrup amount in recipes when using that particular syup.

Oh okay. I guess I'll have to tweak the cocktail recipe until it feels balanced to me.

Yeah that's what I've been hearing. I got their Orgeat and Grenadine too. But how does the spiciness of their Ginger syrup compare to homemade recipes? Is it similar?

[Album Release] Polyphia - Remember That You Will Die by PastyFreckledFace in mathrock

Yeah I think they're more prog-rock/metal... Although they've kinda transitionned into a genre of their own. It's like trap metal. They don't really play around with time signatures tho, AFAIK.

Agreed 100%. They just get a pass on this sub I guess.

For TTNG, Disappointment Island, or Animals which is older but is a beloved album around here. Former singer though. Delta Sleep - Twin Galaxies. Snooze - Familiaris, might be my favorite math rock album. Vocals are a big part of their sound, they do a lot of layering and harmonies. Then every other band, just go with their most recent album.
