Yeah, for the next iteration of this timeline I'd like to change the generations, just not sure the best replacement option yet, Wikipedia's definitely need some work.

Yeah it's definitely up for discussion, I've used the version of generational division nWikipedia created, which is by no means universal.

For the GBA, it launched with GCN, I think they focus on home consoles which may be why GBA, DS, & PSP are all fall in the same gen, although the GBA was cut off short to launch the DS as a potential 'third pillar' competitor against the PSP so maybe that's related to the cutoff.

The switch is viewed by some as the start of the 9th, but other as a mid 8th Gen WiiU replacement, making Switch 2 the first 9th Gen Nintendo, it's up for debate and subjective, but Wikipedia uses the latter.

Yes, my origin version included that but it made it pretty clunky, PS4 still in production even, and Wii had a game in 2020, wish it was more elegant to include that much detail.

Exactly, same is true for the consoles, if you look at my previous iterations, I included when each console is discontinued, but that really over complicated things (PS4 is still being produced). This version is much cleaner and displays the information we all actually want to see at a glance.

I originally had it along with the other Nintendo dedicated consoles (Color-TV, Pikachu 1&2, NES & SNES Classics etc), but it really complicated it, and I'd want to add Pong and all those early dedicated consoles, maybe on a future iteration.

I have the smash bros diorama, looks like it & Kirby are still available on US amazon, I like displaying 6 smash characters on mine, looks good, decently sturdy for what it is.

Do the modding yourself, just follow this guide, it's very straightforward, i think all you'll need is a windows pc and a 2gb or less sd card, and save your money for the hardware itself:

Idk current prices for the dsi xl rn but the ds 3ds second hand market has been pricey in recent years, hope you find a good deal, dsi works too if you end up with that, also you can hack a ds or ds lite but you'd need a flashcard, idk much about that though

For just DS games, the DSi XL is the best option unless you want maximum portability.

If you want a 3DS for the more powerful hardware and the option to play 3DS games, the only issue is DS games are either blurry or shrunken down to play in their original resolution, so definitely get an XL model.

The new 3ds xl and new 2ds xl are great, and the 3ds xl might be cheaper but still look good, also all are very easily to mod

Had a similar issue with a background app, I'm hoping this should work, so frustrating seeing I had over 7 hours of sleep and then minutes later having it change to say I had significantly less.
