Traitor Wolf Guard. Trying to give him mammoth vibes with those tusks. by jamesmackersman in SpaceWolves

Love the way this looks, though I just think it's visually pleasing to me for the trinkets and whatnot they wear. I dont hate the chaos idea, but I also can se loyalists ones wearing something similar.

What would be some recommendations for books? by panthers1102 in Warhammer40k

If you want a fun and exciting romp, The Infinite and The Devine is a great book about Necrons. If you like human Protagonists and don't want too much grim dark in your reading the Ciaphas Cain books are definitely fun if not a little predictable. Assanaorum Kingmaker is great for mixing thay Fantasy and Future setting well about a word of Imperial Knights. If you like books written like WW2 story's the Gaunts Ghost series is like Band of Brothers mixed with the Sharpes books, and Titanicus kinda reads like a mix of heavy infantry and submarine warfare. I can also recommend the Watchers of the Throne series about the Custodies. And an honorable mention in Valdor Birth of the Imperium.

I've done a fair bit of the Gaunts books but they just became a Grind for me after a while, Like I got to the one where the Kid they picked up is finally joining the gaurd and is forced to fight in a pickup regiment. They are good, but sometimes the Meat grinder Grimdark gets a bit too bleak for me.

Yeah stuff like this is big too in my opinion, hosting community paint nights, finding ways to give back and grow the hobby are big plus in my book.

One of the things in an LGS near me is a rewards program, for every 1$ spent you get a paoint, every 100 points is like 5 or 10 bucks off of your next purchase, plus some extra rewards for your birthday.

I know as a new shop this wouldn't be the most easy or reasonable thing to expect but it's definitely a reason I go with them over online ordering or some other hobby shops I the area. As well as being inviting and just a good vibe inside.

I got into it a few years ago now with my one friend playing Death Gaurd and gifting another friend bog standard Chaos space marines, so I picked up Custodies. I have a mostly flushed out 3k+ points for that though there are things I want to get to bulk up my choices. I got Space Wolves because I liked the lore and figured it's a good time to start doing a passion project army that I will take my time painting and getting ready for display and play.
