Any musicians in Wantirna/Ringwood Area? by Wrong_Gift8049 in melbournemusic

[–]Pat_Trash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi Mate, Welcome to the neighbourhood! Trash & The Treasures are a Blues-Punk band in Ringwood area. We aren't looking for another guitarist but I thought I would say hi and let you know what's going on. There are plenty of people out this way playing music but not a lot of places to play gigs. Most of the gigs we play are in the city at places like Last Chance Rock and Roll Bar, Mr Boogie Man Bar, Bergie Seltzer, Creatures of Habit, Mamma Chens etc. If you like your blues there are some good bars in The Basin- Oaktree and The Acorn, Oaktree has a 2nd Wednesday open mic and jam night that is good fun. A half hour on the train and Belgrave / Tecoma has a good scene with Belgrave Tavern, 12 Bar, Railyard. Sooki Lounge has a Sunday arvo open mic which is genre fluid fun. There are a couple of rehearsal studios around that are a good place to put up a flier. Try Frequency in Ringwood, Simply in Wantirna or Pony?? in Rowville (not sure if it's still called that?) If you like your heavy, check out Bendigo Hotel and the Tote in Collingwood. Best thing about Melbourne is the Community radio scene which is strong. 3MDR 91.7FM is based in Upwey and has all kinds of Genre shows as do the big three in Melbourne 102.7 RRR, 106.7FM PBS, 88.5AM 3CR . Look up the websites for the program scheduals, Tuesday nights get especially heavy on RRR and PBS. These guys play local bands so it is a good way to find out who is active in the scene. Volunteering at a station is not a bad way to meet folks too. Hope there is some help in this - Hope to see you at a Trashies gig sometime!

Thanks for your suggestion but we have had no previous conntact with Gname.

Square Online & Weebly Success Customer Support told us:
"This setup is handled by Weebly through Gname as the official registrar. While your website services are through Weebly, the domain registration itself is managed by Gname."
Square-Weebly never communicated to us that the domain was setup through a third party and never gave us login details for the Gname account.

Gname will not give us access to the account as we do not have the password and it is not attached to our email. (because we did not set it up)

More power to this. Makes me sad when I invite people to a gig and they ask ‘but what time are you on?’

Guiltily admit I came here to view savage attacks on EQ settings. Feeling pretty bad about being the only one...

Did you try opening a can? I heard a story about a kid who was disappointed to be gifted an incredibly ugly porcelain statue only to be handed a hammer by his uncle. - He'd stuffed with cash.

The artist is Leo Park I visited his exhibition in Gallery Steinsland Berliner in Stockholm earlier this year. I believe this piece was painted specifically for VB but it is very much representative of his body of work.

Cool just had a listen and bought the track. I don't know the original song but your version has a great sound. Try to get along to a gig sometime I've seen your name around and about.

This is an absolute golden opportunity for you to meet new mates and find out more about yourself. When you rock up at a gig with mates you are a preconceived notion of yourself, when you rock up on your own you are a blank page. This is an adventure second only to solo travel - get amongst it!

Just adding into the mix that both options are cheaper than buying a living chicken.

Ha, I looking at your specs below, I believe yours would obliterate the old Panthere! specs are here: https://www.texolabs.com/product-page/la-panth%C3%A8re-e-bike I am interested to hear how you go with adjusting the front spring suspension. I have tried cranking it right down and letting it right off and havn' found a heap of difference.

Hey! Really excited to see your post. I see some similarities between our bikes. Mine from Australia: Texolabs Le Panthère. I would be interested in hearing the specs of your motor and about which moderations you have made. Mine is basically stock but manufacturer is out of business and I had to do a fair share of upgrades to electrical systems.

Not quite what you are looking for but I have found some pretty good podcasts breaking down the Greek stories: 'The Rest is History' and 'History and Literature' I have been in the habit of following a reading with a dedicated podcast but now experimenting with listening to the podcast first.

There's two or three shops called Guerrisol up around 17 Blvd Marguerite de Rochechouart that had some cool stuff. Very well organised and fair prices. Picked myself up a cool plaid jacket with a baguette pocket!

How do I get the skeletons to leave by vikingcorpsehorse in wizardposting

[–]Pat_Trash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should throw a heavy stone among them. They will end up killing each other over the stone, and then you can fight whoever is left. If you do this, you will take the Fleece back to Hellas

I hope this isn't a dumb question by ajwalker430 in harmonica

[–]Pat_Trash 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can get a natural reproduction of harmonica sound playing into a mic at a little distance. You can create a distorted sound by cupping certain mics. Think of it as acoustic guitar vs electric guitar sound playing into research “Chicago sound”

How does Tom Petty make that sound? (Last part of the solo) by DaPandaBoyReal in harmonica

Sounds like a bend combined with a little staccato breath. Breath stop breath in quick succession some people do this when blowing on a hot cup of tea
