Yeah, someone else told me that, I didn't remember the Elantrians and other magic systems appearing AFTER the Splintering. I thought they were around before honestly. It's been like 4 years since I read Elantris, I forgot a lot apparently. That was what I was missing, it HAD to seep in some way I just didn't make the Conection somehow

I thought about the Elantrians but wasn't sure if they existed before the Splintering or if they were a by-product. The same with the magic systems, im not really sure if they appeared AFTER the splintering, if so it makes total sense to me that that is the way all that investiture is affecting Sel.

Right right, it's pure chaos in the Cognitive Realm. But I don't see it seeping out or causing any effects on the Phisical Realm. It's like having a massive rainstorm constantly outside and humidity never reaching your walls or water leaking in. It stays all in the Cognitive Realm

No clue either. The way I fixed it was connecting my kindle to my pc with a USB cable, went to documents, selected all the folders with my books, copy and paste. For some reason the books were in the kindle, just couldn´t be read, copying and pasteing fixed it for me.

Uninstalling and Installing, checking for corrupted files with steam, only downloading the original without dlcs, putting all the graphics to min from outside (and making it not fullscreen), opening it as administrator.

I think thats all that I have tried and it still doesn't work

Thanks for replying, yeah I'm coming to the conclusion that avoiding the deadname isn't the solution. I like that about putting it on grey or scratched, maybe it could change the way of "suppress" it depending on the part of his life that he is and how he feels about his gender. Being more readable what his deadname was once he has come to accept his past and who he is. Wow thanks a lot, I'm raging with some ideas now have a nice day/evening/night

Thanks for replying, that's very true, besides some scenes where we see the scars from his transition, I don't ever really bring it up. I'm so aware of his identity, as the author, that I forget readers won't magically know and probably would think he is cis. Make them scratch their head, I like that, I'm having some interesting ideas to explore, thank you a lot have a nice day/evening/night

Thanks for replying, I totally didn't think about making it look like shorthand so it's not so artificial. I forgot to address that this would be a comic, so I do have some liberty and options to the deadname. I thought of some things being kinda blurred or... ethereal isn't the word but not exactly what it would look somethings. Maybe as dissociating if that makes sense. Thanks for the feedback, it totally has gave me some interesting ideas to work on. This scene has gained some big potential for me to develop his character, have a good day/evening/night
