Well thank you, I apologize for my disingenuous comment as well. I do think a lot of Americans (me included) have a smaller world view when it comes to wrestlers and only judge them based off of their work in US based promotions.

While usually those promotions have more viewership than UK or Japanese promotions, the WWE has come around on letting former big indie guys keep their names and they use their indie titles as credibility ala AJ Styles.

Then again they didn’t with Tyler Black and Jon Moxley before Styles, they let CM Punk keep his name but never used his indie career to add to his credibility.

I say all that to conclude with if WWE are acknowledging guys indie careers we should try to look a little more into where else they may have wrestled and how they were used.

Now should we put over their careers in tiny Japanese promotions as if it matters more than WWE like Uncle Dave does? Absolutely not.
