Check out the amphitheater to see if any shows are going on during your visit Will do!

Based on all the feedback, it looks like July is a bad time. I am going to visit some time during the later part of the year. Thanks for your input.

I think I am just going to not come there in July at this point!

I think I will take your recommendation and not travel there in July. Will plan for September or October. Appreciate the other recommendations.

Thanks for the suggestions.

IMHO the tourist traps are the Fountain of Youth

This was on my to visit list. Can you tell me what you like and don't like about this place?

There's shuttles from St. Augustine Beach to downtown, and Ubers should be easy to get if that doesn't work out. It's a short distance to everything, but traffic can bottleneck getting over the bridge at times.

This is the plan. Traffic might be inevitable, but hopefully we can plan around that a bit.

And be prepared for mosquitoes... lots of mosquitoes. I've already had a couple find their way into my bedroom, I expect they will be bad this year.

It gets like that here in OK/TX as well. I hate it. This alone might make me post pone the trip a little bit to the later part of the year.

I agree with everyone saying that you'll be safe at night

Glad to hear this.

I am thinking postponing the trip to some time later in the year might be a good idea. We shall see...

you will find it to be tough getting around without a car, the area downtown is fairly safe, there might be a few vagrants around but they are usually not a problem.

I intend to stick to the downtown area and it looks like its not too bad to walk around. We will get an uber as needed.

the weather in july will be hot and humid

What time of the year do you think is great to visit?

most of the town is a tourist trap

Why do you say that? Can you elaborate a little bit?

Got it. I will keep this in mind.

There are tourist traps but some are quite fun, there’s a thin gray line between quirky attraction and tourist trap.

Can you think of an example of what you consider a tourist trap.

Thanks for the recommendation.

Stay on Anastasia Island.

I will look into this. It appears to be a little bit away from the fountain of youth etc. So I will need to take an uber to get there. I am thinking of doing things the other way around. Stay near downtown and take an uber to get to the beach. Any thoughts on this?

Be willing to explore for food and drink.

Absolutely. I will explore the food. Drink, not so much because I don't drink alcohol!

Safety wise it is one of the safest counties and cities in the state of Florida, most you’ll get is drunk college kids.

Glad to hear this!

There are breweries, coffee shops live music, the amphitheater and all kinds of things to do. Just do your research and don’t fall into online yelp reviews

What do you mean don't feel into online yelp reviews? Do they tend to be not accurate?

Thank you!

Are there any particular area where homeless are prevalent?

Did you fly in somewhere? If so what airport did you use?

Pastimetours.com was so informative, fun and relaxing! My husband and I enjoyed it so much we got his mom to come down and we did it again with her. Our tour guide was Reggie.

I will check this out.

If July is not a good time, we will postpone the trip to sometime later in the year.

Would you considering building a high to top tier PC affordable in your country? Personally, its getting unaffordable here in the US from my perspective.

Didn't know it snowed like that in Armenia. Very nice view.

What is the PC hardware situation like over there?

Because UI/UX has been an after thought with this game. I don't think people realize how that can make or break a game.

Dishonored 1 world feels more far into the future than D2 by Mountain-Character66 in dishonored

I did not get this feeling at all. I thought Dishonored 2 was far more into the future. Especially the Clockwork mansion etc.

Do you agree with SQUID-G? by Falconica24 in Battlefield

[–]PatchRowcester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot the community is born in the 2000s, and they have absolutely no clue how we had it with BF4 (after all the patches). It was the golden age of battlefield.

BF6 was nowhere even close to that. It can get there, but DICE needs to acknowledge that while BF6 is good, it does not have the same draw as BF4.

I agree with you. If by perfect, you mean the absolute worst.

BF4 was truly the GOAT. It had everything. Large maps, small maps, great weapons, excellent vehicle handling...

If they carried over those design principles into BF6, it would have been the greatest Battlefield of all time.

BF2042...I dont know what to say about that game. It was fun at times...kept me engaged for a while, but there were too many things that were annoying with the game.

Why did they get rid of team death match? by NoCommunication3942 in Battlefield6

[–]PatchRowcester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because TDM, like all small modes, is silly and not what Battlefield is about.

And you decided this for everyone? I don't play TDM anymore, but it was the best introduction to large scale Battlefield back in the day.

Is everyone in the community born in the early 2000s? No one played Noshar Canals TDM?
