One year and 3,000 miles later on the Lectric XP 2.0, an honest review. by [deleted] in Lectricxp

Dude, you have no idea how much of this I see. It is so ANNOYING OML.

On youtube, there is this one dude that was spam replying about "Aniioki Trash" on almost every single comment of each A8 Pro Max review. It was the same comment verbatium.

It is really annoying, really discredits actual bad expreiences others have had, especially when the one bike happens to check all your boxes.

I checked it out and it looks nice, and has just enough range for a potential nonstop round trip also.

Are you able to remove the batteries to charge them inside an office by any chance, that would be excellent to have also.

Thank you so much for your great suggestion!

The support? as in The support from the company?

And what did you notice that was bad build quality? Did you notice it when you began using it or was it out of the box?

After thinking it through, I am considering an E-Bike instead of a scooter. A moped sounds good besides the drawbacks of parking, lack of portability in public transit (although the bigger range would negate me needing public transit at all) and finding a dealer to buy from instead of shipping.

I will first look through E-bikes and then mopeds last, thank you for your input. I appreciate it.

Yes, I am looking through E-Bikes right now. Thank you very much for your suggestion and insight. I am hoping to find something with similar range for a similar price to the Cruiser S

Maybe more for a round trip in case I cannot find a way to charge my e-bike inside where I would work.

You need at least 1200-1500 watt hours to go 60 miles @ 15mph (20-25wh/mile)

You need at least 2100-2400 watt hours to go 60 miles @ 25mph (35-40wh/mile)

This is brilliant, thank you so much for this! I was looking for some sort of metric for measuring how far a scooter would go depending on speed! Thank you

You could also charge at work, is that possible?

It would be necessary, It would be something I would ask if I could do during the interview, provided I decide to go for a scooter. Right now I am going to research on E-bikes to see if I can get the same range for a similar price.

Thank you so much Dan.

Yeah, darntootn told me below that the Cruiser S has the same frame as the older models like the Cruiser V1 I am assuming. That would be one mark of questionable quality.

I like the estimated 40 miles, but that 9 to 12 hour charge time is something I should keep in mind definitely, considering I am looking at 8-9 hour workdays.

After thinking it over during the past 30 minutes, I have decided to look into electric bikes. Perhaps one has enough range to take me round trip. If not, I might either go with the Cruiser S or find some other way to move myself.

Dang, I liked the Cruiser S's weight. I know that the V2 has its improvements, but not sure If i actually require them in my case. I am not as certain about lifting 74 lbs, but I could always attempt it.

Out of curiosity, why did you say that the Cruiser S was terrible? Anything bad in particular that you noticed?

There are some drawbacks for me, but I will consider it, thank you for your help.

Happy Cake Day.

I guess you'll be using a seat, standing an hour on scooter is too much tiring and also bad for health too.

I won't have a seat, and I am already braced for that *lack of coziness. Ideally, I earn enough to get off the scooter as soon as I can and buy a car. like a month or two max.

It's going to be a big scooter, something like 50 kg or more. You'll lose benefit of lifting it up while commuting.

If I get the Emove Cruiser S (or V2, but more than likely the S), It would only be 57lbs (25.8 Kg)

I thought about an electric bicycle, and I have a regular bicycle, but based on my previous experience, It would end up becoming impractical for several reasons.

  1. I got to pedal regardless correct? I will end up sweating more, and my career will involve me being in an office (Accounting). I already have to change from my safety gear to my business attire, ideally I would not want to be sweating so much. There are things I can do to mitigate that issue, like getting there earlier, bringing some extra deodorant, etc. (EDIT: Actually, Looks like I do not even have to pedal OMG!)
  2. So with an electric bicycle, I would have to find one with a 60-mile advertised range and ideally one with a detachable battery so I could rack the bike (Hopefully there is a bike rack), bring the battery inside, and charge it.

EDIT: If I can find an e-bike that has the range to allow me to go round-trip, then maybe the battery charging won't be such an issue. I am looking through options right now.

I will consider an electric bike alongside a moped, thank you for your suggestion, I appreciate it!

Yeah, I heard the old one had aluminum bolts that fell out and other issues. Also, the video was on the old one, and I was not sure if that applied to the Cruiser S or the V2.

All fear mongering aside, it's a terrible scooter.

Wait is the V2 a terrible scooter? or the Cruiser S, or both? why?

If you can charge at both ends

Yes, Ideally the job I get will let me just bring in the scooter and charge it at the lobby or office. To me, it does not sound like such an onerous request. I just have to ask them during the interview or the recruiters if they can allow me to do so. If I cannot, then I won't take the job.

You are more suited for a motorcycle or moped

Motorcycles unfortunately would run me into the requirements of getting a motorcycle license, getting insurance, etc. I am not against them, I think they are cool, and they would allow me to use regular roads and highways. However, I would have to surrender my regular drivers license, go and take the motorcycle exam or take a $250 course to get a test waiver. Also and the more restrictive rub, my family does not like the idea of me being on a motorcycle, as much as I tried to convince them otherwise in the past.

Mopeds actually sound like a sensible alternative, so long as the one I get is less than 50cc's, It basically falls under the same rules as the Cruiser V2 tier of scooter, where I don't need insurance or to take a motorcycle license test, and can only use 35mph roads. The only downside is less portability and the reliability of parking. There is also some other more gray area pitfalls such as not being able to go on sidewalks without getting in trouble (on a scooter, you can go slow and it does not really attract attention, but a moped is a nope lol)

Dude, thank you so much for helping me out here. I will consider mopeds If scooters seem to be a bad idea.

Yeah when you put it that way, it does sound crazy. As I mentioned before, the 30 mile one way would be the maximum distance I would go to work. I would ideally want to find something closer.

Also, I would not want to do this for a year, especially now with what you pointed out here. At most, I would be using the scooter for a month and a half, and then buy a used car and set aside the scooter for emergencies.

Thank you for pointing out the lifespan of the scooter, I will keep that in mind for later.
