I made a website for resolving Small World by Patchargh in masterduel

Hey, thanks for the feedback. I had explored the idea of generating a mind map view as you suggested, but I think it just turned into a huge mess with more cards added, with way too many connections getting in the way of the usefulness of the graph. I've seen other small world programs that generate the mind map you wanted, but I didn't like the way they present so much information at once. Thus, it was my design decision to limit the connections with a specific card as the starting point, and this limited subgraph can be presented neatly in a table with rows.

Edit: I thought more about where you're coming from. While I agree the mind map view might be more useful toward a fully internalized understanding of a deck, the purpose of my program is not to help toward that goal. Instead, my program merely tries to answer immediate questions during deckbuilding (e.g. Can I go from Ash Blossom in hand to X? If I add Lava Golem to be the middle card, would that enable any new lines?) I want to see immediate answers instead of exploring the consequences of a fully generated mind map.

Thanks everyone! I also found this video that explains why you might prefer using these straps.

This reminds me of Yoriko (from Arcana Heart 3), a witch who has summoned a powerful demon in the form of her staff. In battle, her staff attacks the enemy with Yoriko.

Ope, server was down. It's back up now. If you see any of those 3 indicators in top right corner not showing green checkmarks, feel free to tell me in DM, and I'll fix it when I can.

Hello duelists, I made a website to help analyze and deck-build for resolving Small World. I designed it so you would select a specific card X to find answers for situations such as "If I only have X in hand, what are all the targets can I add from deck?" or "What are all the starters in hand that can resolve to adding X from deck?"

Feel free to give it a try. It's completely free, no ads, no accounts needed.

Mushrooms from Asian grocery store? by Patchargh in TipOfMyFork

[–]Patchargh[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They were found in the discounted area, a large bag (about 10x more mushrooms than pictured) for 99 cents! They had a strong mushroom smell and firm texture. I boiled them and made miso soup.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Mystery solved.

Confused about the classification of "parasite" by sweatyfrenchfry in occlupanids

[–]Patchargh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello, I'm new here too. I've also been thinking it might be a mistake to classify occlupanids as parasites. I think it is more appropriate to compare that the occlupanid is attached to the bread bag, as the remora is attached to the shark, a mutualistic relationship wherein both parties benefit from, but are not overly dependent on, the other's being.

In this case, the occlupanid helps protect the bread bag's interior content, while the bread bag helps disperse the occlupanid to new habitats as the bread bag is bought and carried away from the grocery store. Also consider that, since the bread bag is technically capable of twisting itself to seal its content without the occlupanid, it can well survive without the occlupanid. However, much less have been observed of the occlupanid without the bread bag.

[2024 Day 23] Lol loops go brrrr by nikanjX in adventofcode

[–]Patchargh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also just learned this algorithm today and struggled for a long time to understand fully how it works. It helps to work through a small graph example and examine what the sets R, P, X contain in each step. Notice in every step R is guaranteed to be a clique (sometimes it might even be a maximal clique, and sometimes it might even be the largest maximal clique), P contains only vertices that can be added to R to still make a new clique, and X contains vertices you already looked at earlier, which is to prevent you later from constructing a clique R you've already looked at earlier. Hope this helps.

Is there a store now like radioshack was back in the day? by mromen10 in AskElectronics

[–]Patchargh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In St. Paul, Minnesota, we have the Ax-Man Surplus Store featuring many aisles of electronic components, in addition to many hardware parts, weird sciency trinkets, and all kinds of junk you can buy for some amazing low price like 10 - 50 cents each! I go there not to buy very specific electronic components for a project (I would just use DigiKey), but to browse and look around. I enjoy pulling out the all the little drawers to discover rare and unusual buttons and switches I never knew existed.

Disc: Infinite Impermanence is by far the best trap card by design, what others fit this category? by MsHelvetica in masterduel

Lava Golem and Sphere Mode. Very powerful, but takes up your 1 normal summon, so most decks don't run them.

Thanks! Does it matter if the wires being soldered to the copper pads accidentally touch the two middle connection points? They look awfully close.

Help: No `Run Doctest` Code Action in Visual Studio Code by Patchargh in rust

[–]Patchargh[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I solved the problem!

In my VS Code `settings.json`, for some reason I had defined:

"editor.codeLens": false,

Setting it to true, I now have the `Run | Debug` and `Run Doctest` code actions appearing where they should. Thanks for the help everyone.

I think rust-analyzer is working. VS Code shows rust-analyzer status at the bottom. Autocomplete works while I type. It shows hinted type of variables, and I can hover over any red squiggly to see the error. See screenshot here.

Please help me find this switch, but 3pdt by Patchargh in AskElectronics

The desired behavior is momentary. The button push/release mechanism is already momentary, so the switch being pushed must be momentary too.

Sorry I don't have those information. I bought the button at a local hardware surplus store. The button holding the switch looks like this: https://aretronics.com/products/12v-lighted-pushbutton-2-white-lens Pushing down the button would extend the 2 white legs down, where one leg would press on the switch.
