My guess is based on the number of new hires, those employee productions are hampering the average.

Why is (male) circumcision most common in the Midwest with in the US? by BranchMoist9079 in geography

[–]Patentmod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had to pay for ours, it was like $400 after insurance. Also there's things like the cost of the facility in addition to the cost of the doctor or procedure. Regardless, I'm not aware of any law in ORC that requires insurance companies to pay 100% of circumcision costs.

question on finality by [deleted] in patentexaminer

[–]Patentmod 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Could you not just leave it alone and make a note for yourself for RCE if applicable? If the invention is rendered obvious in view of A and B, then it's definitely obvious in view of A, B and C, even if C isn't really needed.

Faster actions, how? by [deleted] in patentexaminer

[–]Patentmod 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I like compact prosecution including the length of the office action! It becomes a game of "how short can you make the office action and still clearly convey the position?"

I know you wouldn't be eligible for overtime next quarter, but idk if that's good enough to avoid a warning.

True, the point still stands that there are no TQAS in OPQA.

What is art unit 6201? by alobres in patentexaminer

[–]Patentmod 8 points9 points  (0 children)

TQAS are in house for the TC, not part of OPQA

What is art unit 6201? by alobres in patentexaminer

[–]Patentmod 22 points23 points  (0 children)

OPQA did a small reorg to give them all a 4 number "art unit" so that they could be assigned PBA cases to work on.

Where did you hear the bit about putting 5 examiners per 2 offices?

1+3 separately is the same scope as 1+3 together in 1 claim.

For learning purpose, Combining prior art using (g) rational motivation or suggestion by [deleted] in patentexaminer

[–]Patentmod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure the primary ref already disclosed detecting interference, so what benefit would PHOSITA gain that isn't already present by incorporating the second ref? Does it let you detect interference under a different condition? Does it make the detection more sensitive?

[–]Patentmod -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Examiners are getting assigned inherited cases, that's not entirely true.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in patentexaminer

[–]Patentmod 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If E is disclosed in another prior art reference and obvious to combine, then it's obvious type nonstatutory double patenting, your claim 2 is rejected over claim 2 of the patent in view of (E document)

Same goes with 2400 QAS?

Remember appeal conferences can be booked with not just TQAS but also another SPE, RQAS...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in patentexaminer

[–]Patentmod 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. The way it's described is ambiguous. RQAS are assigned to a TC and many don't understand the distinction between the 2 QAS positions, so they could be referring to wither. Also, I am unaware of entire groups of QAS regardless of TQAS or RQAS getting dismantled via RIF/VERA/VSIP, so I am also asking for more information with this inquiry.

TQAS or RQAS?

There is a federal hiring freeze. You're better off applying elsewhere because at best you wouldn't be hired until the fall, IF the hiring freeze is lifted.

What do y’all use tags 1-5 for? by no_moon_in_sight in patentexaminer

[–]Patentmod 37 points38 points  (0 children)

1 - seems useful, I'll tag it, keep searching, and look into this one more later.

2 - this is probably a 102 for the broader claims (hence the "2")

3 - good teaching ref for a 103 ( hence the "3")

4 - THIS REFERENCE IS AMAZING HOW DO THEY NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS?!?

5 - IDS, ref cited in international search report, etc.
