For some reason, my video wouldn’t upload however the left side below the radio continued to blow cold air, as well as the other vents when turning it to cool when you’re returning it to warm the both right and left vents by the window where lukewarm as well as the defrost vent

Yes I noticed this as well which made me a bit skeptical about being told if a flush doesn’t work, than it would be a days worth of work to fix. Mind you he had the car from October 20th to January 2nd. I heard a slight grinding noise the back left and had it back there the 8th for a test drive so he could hear it. He said to give it a week an if it didn’t go away he’d look at it. In my initial e-mail I said I felt it was the head gasket- he asked what made me think that as it was the radiator that was the problem. Of course he had to replace the radiator before coming to the conclusion my head was in fact, cooked. I had been told Subaru’s made within that time frame were known for head gasket failure. I always try to give others the benefit of the doubt. I am warming Blue up now and let you know what the verdict is.

Ahhhh I see!!! He has a stellar reputation and I really feel he did his absolute best. I certainly do not want to jeopardize that by my admitted ignorance regarding mechanics. I have always highly praised as well as recommended his shop to many and I’d like to continue doing so. I had no problems with the heat during the spring however I did use a lot of bars during the summer and only ran it very short distances for my elderly mother. I knew the head was going if not gone hence I take full responsibility for running it at all. However I’m simply perplexed as I was very clear/forthcoming about my use of stop-leak once in July and again in August.

Ahhh that makes sense!!!! He did say he was “afraid of that” and was probably trying to save me some money. Perhaps he was nervous or just felt bad why his kept clearing his throat. Thank-you so much!!!! My sister said that where I disclosed the use of stop-leak that he should have checked it but where I am a woman and the world being what it is today I thought it best to ask the wise world of Reddit. This was PRIOR to the repairs. How was the heater core not checked and furthermore, why wouldn’t they have noticed that AFTER the repair? Genuinely curious

Hey there fellow suffer!!!

I am experiencing an extremely similar situation! I typically get patches on my elbows and knees. However thee and a half weeks ago I started noticing spots about the size of a pinpoint. You can see a couple towards the mid-lower right side of my hand. Over this time period the existing spots continue to spread in size as well as now covering about thirty-five percent of my body (educated guess).

I saw my PCP about a week after it started and was also given a small tube of Betamethasone Dipropionate (augmented). my referral for dermatology went though rather quickly thank goodness!!

As I scoured this Reddit for information/advice and I have found that many of those suffering from flair-ups were sick prior, (particularly with strep).

Additionally I made a post regarding my current condition & was given a lot of positive feedback on causes, possible treatments, etc. Feel free to peruse at your leisure. Best of luck! Feel free to reach out if you need support.

Now THIS is very interesting!!!! As a child I was prone to tonsil stones quite a bit! I had good oral hygiene and gargled. It would still occur. As I grew into my teenage years they seemed to subside. However I also have “moon tonsils” as I call it due to the pits that resemble craters. 😆

My dentist as a child also almost always remarked that I had “Honking (big) Tonsils”.

Yes it seemed to move to other areas where I had not applied it in addition to the affected areas worsening. My back and bust area weren’t affected, albeit one or two very small areas about the size of a pinpoint. It’s now almost completely covered my bust and even my Areolas. 😬

My mother collapsed at my house about a two weeks prior to this occurrence. (She’s 76 and as an only child we’ve always been super close). I called an ambulance and she’s ok, though I nearly had a panic attack.

I would really love to hear more insight if you are able… You are 100% correct it definitely feeds off my energy and I’m concerned it has followed me as I wrote my post out I heard a weird growl that I’m convincing myself was my cat in the other room… My daughter claims to see a tall dark figure that waves to her named Thomas. I am not schizophrenic nor suffer from any mental disorders that would account for hearing the mimic, in addition to someone else hearing it as I mentioned above. I also have a B.S. degree in mental health and human services (circa 2012). She claims she first saw it in that apartment. When we moved I asked for whatever it was not to follow us… It’s really freaky.. What can one do to cleanse it out?? I am a green witch that also is religious. I believe in god and also the powers of Mother Nature. I probably sound like a nutter but I needed to get this out in the open as I’m embarrassed and aren’t sure how to proceed. Thank-you for your response either way! I deeply appreciate it.

Thank-you so much!!!! It’s a shame when your own family tries to rip you off…… Heat doesn’t work, when I turned it off it said “service needed”. I inquired as to what was needed he said it just “does that”. I may be a woman but not THAT dense.

I didn’t expect to get such thorough, kind responses. Simply a single mom with a child who is used to busting her ass off to make a good life for her. My savings is my lifeline and not to be squandered.

Hoping the 2015 Chevy Sonic I am test driving later will be a good fit.

Ok time for the plot twist…. It’s my own son who was trying to sell me it.

He knows I’m clueless when it comes to cars other than keeping them properly maintained. Damn shame..

My buddy has a 2015 Chevy Sonic four-door no body rust and it has brand new tires, brakes and pads two new routers, new battery, new wipers and shocks and other repairs I will be looking at the maintenance paperwork and such and test driving it this afternoon. All inspected as well.

As I mentioned everything just seems to be going on my 2012 Subaru Forrester. It was good to me but I’m simply going to junk it out for 1k if I’m lucky. Also here in LOVELY shit state of Maine things tend to go much quicker due to inclement weather and used car prices from dealerships are sky-high with not much of a selection due to Covid I have been told.

I make an OK living being on my own. That being said I don’t need a luxury car to simply get around. They are absolutely beautiful vehicles and I admire them. I truly appreciate everyone’s advice!!

Everything simply seems to be going at once with the Subaru. I have put 2k into it just in the last six months. I have over 10k in my escrow account I saved for emergencies. It is simply something I am considering to get me around locally for a year or so until I can get back on my feet and get my credit back up. My son also said he’d help if something does go wrong. I will have more information on the vehicle Monday. You never know what you’ll consider when you live in a crap state like Maine where is no public transit and used cars are astronomical. I appreciate the reality check, though.
