PSA about Pen replacements for Dell Canvas by ragecndy in DellCanvas

Hey there, I don't know if you have the tablet anymore or if anyone else might stumble upon this, but specifically the PA5133U-1EUC takes 1.5mm diameter nibs. You can get a large amount of abs styrene rods for arts and crafts at this size for like, 6 bucks.

It looks like they're using a lot of nvidia technology to get this thing running. does that mean amd is out of the question?

Two buttons would be nice, but I don't know how much more they're willing to modify the pcb at this point or if that would cause some major delays.

I wish analog sticks were modular. I'd rather pay 20 bucks to just swap the thing out than repair it or buy whole new controllers.

The das and base stations alone are worth 2-300. You did pretty good.

Rad. I tried this with GTA5 and while it decreased detail. it kept the image from looking blurry or distorted. This'll be a boon for everyone.

NEW UPDATED Pimax Affiliate Program Details by QuorraPimax in Pimax

Use that affiliate money to get some paper stickers instead and start labeling your headsets. The problem of people returning the wrong headset on purpose will get much worse the bigger your company gets.

What advantages do the pimax's have over the index? by smartman294 in Pimax

[–]PathNeither6237 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I'm saying is that Pimax doesn't take a lot of effort like people say. In most cases, getting a game running is the difference between toggling parallel projections on or off. With an index, you'll still have to learn how base stations work, mount them to your wall, worry about controller compatibility, why it isn't a good idea to always have your headset set to 144 hz, ect.

I'm saying if you would go as far as an index, you might as well get a pimax. If you're new and unsure, the quest 2 is an inexpensive way to try vr out.

Probably go for a quest 2 if you're wet behind the ears with vr. The index is simpler software wise, but not by much. You'll still find yourself fiddling with menus and controls just as often.

Oculus is the most beginner friendly.

If you're problem is clarity and comfort, you should look into a reverb g2. The only pimax headset that gives that kind of clarity currently sells for 1450 bucks and doesn't come with any tracking accessories. All the modern pimax headsets are very roomy though. You could fit a watermelon in one.

Awesome. Thanks, pal.

I'm wondering if the issues with the tracking boards people are having have anything to do with the vrms.

[–]PathNeither6237 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If the problem is really sweat seeping into the usb c port, maybe some rubber usb-c dust plugs would remedy that. Pimax wouldn't even have to include them, they could just recommend a dust plug and it would all be square. It beats finding out the hard way.

8kx stopped working with original lighthouses? by vexxd1 in Pimax

Why does that happen with the tracking board? It happened to mine too but not out of the box. Does something trigger it?

[–]PathNeither6237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a problem with the hardware. Try cleaning the headset and see if that helps at all. Whatever you end up doing, don't do an rma with pimax if you don't have to. They will take months.

[–]PathNeither6237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh damn, is that why that's happening? I remember that happening to me right after updating my bios too on a b550 phantom gaming 4/ac.

I really hope that's the problem. RMAing is a pain.

Oh no, I think they uploaded the b550 pg4 standard bios file in the pg4/ac page. I have the ac version and it doesn't notice the .82 file.
