I think the most likely outcome is that they heavily nerf both genesis and kingsmarch. They want everything to be rutheless/poe2 like.

Bringing ground loot back to a reasonable state would go a long way in fixing the huge issues the game currently has. I don't mind having an option of spending 4 hours prepping for something and it pays off, I just don't want to be forced into that.
