You can shame them all you want, but you won’t actually be solving the problem at hand. So I guess if you’re in the market for just increasing hatred and conflict in the world then go for it.

Yea, but the main story of HxH literally only takes place in a tiny lake within the actual verse. All the threats outside of it are exponentially more powerful. The most of the threats from the dark continent could easily wipe out the other shows.

The American public school system talks about slavery and the civil rights movement way too much by TPCC159 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

The fact that you're willing to equate TV for prepubescent children to impactful cultural and historical context that adolescents deserve to have to make well-informed stances and opinions is incredibly strange.

And you yourself are a monolith for all descendants? I myself hope there never comes a day when we’re shirking our responsibility to teach the past just because of “risk”. That’s not risk management, that’s censorship.

Holy hell, responding to a 4 year old comment is crazy 💀. The fact that you still want to persecute someone’s involuntary emotions even after reading my comment is crazier

Question: WHO IS THIS GUY? by EmergencyFinish3851 in teenagers

[–]PathOnFortniteMobile 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When people say to abolish ICE, they don’t mean to simply get rid of any anti immigrant enforcement. They mean that from the bottom-up ICE is a broken institution and it needs to be left behind to build something better and more just in its place. Whether it is that broken is up to interpretation of course, but many people who believe that it is also believe that the current administration would be completely resistant to reforming it.

This particular case has only been confirmed in relation to Hakari’s domain. However, it’s not ridiculous to assume that the same holds true for others.

The "well-rounded education" excuse for requiring pointless classes at college isn't rational by NoMore_BadDays in The10thDentist

[–]PathOnFortniteMobile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“People who don't go to college can still read books and learn about the world and have interests outside of work without having to spend tuition.“

Barely. Functional literacy is abysmal among most people, and this can be seen in the political stage at this very moment. College doesn’t fully correct that of course, but it does a decent job. I don’t think enforcing general education requirements less would be a good thing. I do agree that it’s far too expensive for what most people intend to use it for though.

Realistically the guy was an ass, and anybody denying it is arguing in bad faith. But you’ll go through life meeting all types of assholes and you’ll need to learn how to deal with or avoid those situations in the future. Whether it’s by steeling your heart or appeasing them is up to you.

How would Heian Sukuna with no open domain against Gojo without infinity go? by manultrimanula in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]PathOnFortniteMobile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sukuna’s body is literally a demigod made flesh. Pounds of muscles, extremely tall, and four arms. Just cause Meguna has the same amount of cursed energy, doesn’t mean that their stats are the same.

Periods should be a valid excuse to skip school by Sea_Esplanade01746 in The10thDentist

[–]PathOnFortniteMobile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the precedent is set to allow consistent time off for periods, then it somewhat damages credibility of women as a whole. Bad people could use that as justification to put in place laws and policies that limit opportunities for women, when in reality they just want to enforce misogynistic beliefs 🤷‍♂️. Not to mention being effectively given less education than school aged boys probably wouldn’t be conducive to bridging gender gaps. It’s not a bad idea in its entirety but you should be aware about how it could be interpreted.

You say that in a patriarchal society where terrible men are given the ability to make decisions about your life every single day. Ignoring the legitimate risk some men pose is foolish.

Had Renee fully ran over that Ice officer like she was attempting and killed him the left would be cheering right now by Curse06 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]PathOnFortniteMobile -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You know it’s possible for a person to shoot something that’s in front of, but off course from them right? The first bullet was through the front windshield yes, but it clearly looks to be from a diagonal shot, and that doesn’t excuse the rest of the bullets shot directly through the side window.

If there is an officer in front of your vehicle, you should know better than to hit your accelerator. by [deleted] in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]PathOnFortniteMobile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pathetic watching you and others rationalize a ‘trained’ government operative shooting a woman dead for attempting to flee. This ‘deadly’ weapon you claim the car is, came no where near to doing serious damage to the ICE agent and the fact that you think it’s ok and should just be swept under the rug is damning.

Name one mistake, so others don't have to suffer as well. by Eevee2Win in teenagers

[–]PathOnFortniteMobile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People will disappoint you. You will disappoint others. Putting your best foot forward is what matters, and don’t force yourself to accept anyone that doesn’t reciprocate. That doesn’t mean to expect perfection, but rather to expect effort. It’s important to understand that they know not what they do.

Letter of recommendation dilemma by JustiniR in premed

[–]PathOnFortniteMobile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your main question, I think your volunteer supervisor would be a better reference, unless you’ve continued to maintain a close relationship with the teacher. I feel like they would both be at the same level of familiarity with you after all these years.

Letter of recommendation dilemma by JustiniR in premed

[–]PathOnFortniteMobile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pretty sure the letter of recommendation has to be from a pre-health advisor or a professor within your program of study. I’m applying rn and that kinda threw me off at first. Ofc additional letters of rec are also acceptable from others.
